Subject: Dates vs. Hanging Out

I like video games, Jesus, music, and love my girlfriend. :) PM me, we'll talk.

Am I the only one who prefers hanging out to going on dates? Dates seem to be uncomfortable and awkward attempts to try and be like society's cookie cutter definition of a couple. :p Plus, they ultimately add up to boring conversations, awkward silences and bad breath!

Hanging out offers more in terms of getting to know someone through real-life scenarios.

Maybe it's just my Girlfriend and I's relationship. :) How do you guys/girls feel about dates?

I like both.

I haven't been on a date in a LONG time, but if I were to go on one, I wouldn't take the attitude that it's a date. I would think of it as hanging out. Thinking of it as a date is stupid. If you want to get to know someone better, be their friend, not their cuddle buddy.

Both are necessary. Your girlfriend is going to want you to take her out every so often.

You meet at one place and then just see wherever the rest of the day takes you.

I like to think of them as pretty much being the same thing.

It really depends, but I do prefer hanging out more since that allows you to be more open.

Do you consider it a date every time you hang out with a girl?

You spend the whole day with her? Wow, you must have no scedule at all. I'd be too busy to do that and I don't even have a life!

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

No offense, but it sounds like you are putting a mask on during dates. If you want to have fun on a date be yourself.

I don't usually "hang out" with a girl. I go on dates, minus the awkward silences and bad breath.

Mints, bro.

Yes. My mother's kinda hot

I probably went on a total of about 3 "dates" with my ex, and we were together for 2 years. "Hanging out" is far superior.

I don't consider it anything, I consider it just spending time with the girl... however that might be.

Well a date is generally more formal, planned in advance, and entails do something beyond the ordinary realm of what you normally just do for hanging out; i.e. going to a nice restaurant.
