You call it science. I come from a land where science and magic are one and the same.

Get off The Flood and spend more time with your little brother.
You cannot command a god, mortal. Also, Loki is okay inside the dungeon, no need for my company.

1) Why the hell are you talking about religion? This has nothing to do with religion. Ghosts as a conversational topic led onto the Big Bang, but there is no connecting thread between the BB and religion.

2) Main forums and religion don't mix, period. Delete that part of your message before you get the thread locked. If you want to discuss religion, join the group Secular Sevens or send me a PM.

3) You don't put your side of an argument in and then say "oh, that's enough, let's stop this". If you want the argument to stop, you just say "that's enough", you don't first try and get the last word in.

They don't hurt people at all, some of them just try to scare you away for some reason...

Too much evidence for me not to.
Your schizophrenic episodes are not "evidence".

Typical idiot who can't argue to save his life. There's clearly video, audio, and photograph evidence. Not to mention the millions of different accounts of ghost sightings. But keep being close minded, I couldn't care less about your stance on it.
No, there aren't. Rose, sometimes I can't tell if you are trolling or just stupid. Can you PLEASE stop posting here? No one thinks it's funny anymore.

Notice how you can't form a valid rebuttal. It's obvious you're mad because I constantly destroy your arguments in other threads.
I just got you to admit that you are Rose! :D

But seriously, I never argue with you other than to call you a troll. You are destroyed by other people in almost every thread you enter, so I don't really know what you're getting at.

At least I thought my story was semi-interesting...

-.-'

I actually thought your story was interesting, but eyewitness testimony is unreliable at best and isn't evidence for anything.

I thought of a couple things whilst reading it;

-Metal tower that has been heated, and consequently expanded during the day can cause creaking noises when it contracts in the cool night

-High stress situations like being over seas at war mixed with highly strung soldiers are bound to cause reactions. Just watch any tense war film there will almost invariably be the line "I think I saw something".

-People were bored on guard duty at night and coupled with the previous 2 reasons the mind is likely to be playing tricks.

-Towers were made of wood, and it was a clapping sound, like that of a boot walking, and it would be moving.

-We said that at first, but even fresh soldiers, and the unit before and after us reported the same things

-Again, while possible, there were numerous times were this got ruled out, such as when someone was going to relieve someone else and they heard the footsteps themselves, along with the person in the tower.

Although there was only 4-5 people who saw the figure standing when they weren't in the tower, the majority of what everyone saw others who came later said they saw the same things. There was no logical explanation for any of it. At one point we thought that the walking and such may have been caused by people that lived nearby. To test it for -blam!-s and giggles, all those people went to a seperate part of the COP for the night. 2 people still heard the footsteps, and the tower's door slammed open when there was no wind.

You can always say, "maybe the soldier did it for attention" or "he saw it because he got told about it before-hand" but whatever. We seriously went through every concievable explanation and none was able to explain any of it, especially since there was numerous times when someone told someone something, and then someone else told someone about the same type of occurence, and the connection would be made through someone else entirely, without the two witnesses knowing.

The only explanation was that one of the soldiers were coming back every night, walking up to check on the guys in the towers, and then going back to where they were laid to rest. We had a bunch of weird occurences that nobody could explain, and could easily write a book on all of them. Those 2 towers though were the craziest thing I've ever seen/witnessed.

Anyway, can anyone here tell me what this is? I found it in my grandpa's things when he passed away (he's the one on the left) and I scanned it in when I noticed the face. Is this just a camera-glitch?

I think that's Walt Disney.
But can you tell me what that is in the background?

I really don't know, I like to think of myself as an athiest, but there are so many things in this world that are unexplainable and otherwise paranormal, and in my 26 years on this planet, I have experienced so many events which can only be put down to the supernatural, and I want to believe stuff like that doesn't exist, but in certain cases, the evidence has been thrust before my eyes.

It just makes me think that there is something to the universe that no one has caught onto yet, something that science,or religion has not even hinted at, and that we have literally no clue about how the universe REALLY operates.

  • 12.24.2012 10:29 AM PDT

Why do people keep saying that there are unexplainable things in the world? There is nothing that can't be explained, only things which have yet to be explained. Just look at history. We have explained so much that used to be discounted as magic or God, so why should the stuff which can't or hasn't been explained currently be said to be unexplainable?

13.72 billion years in the making.

On December 1st, 2012, I met Neil deGrasse Tyson. I shook the man's hand, and even made him laugh. Not much else to do with my life now.
