Everyone who is anyone knows what Halo was originally designed to do: Eliminate the Flood. So here is the question:

WHY THE HE11 IS A FLOOD CONSERVATORY ON EACH OF THE HALOS, OUT OF THE BLAST RANGE????!!!!???!!!

The flood will never die out. The flood will exist no matter how many times Halo fires. Know why? If Halo fires, it does not self destruct; it is still intact 100%. If the flood spreads, yes Halo will have to fire. But why keep the flood so that it will live on for the millenia to come???!!!

I hit the jackpot Bungie.

Because Halos kill their food? Can't spread if you can't sustain yourself. I don't remember them ever saying the Halos "destroy" anything. Only kill off sentient life that could sustain flood, so therefore the Halo's blast might kill life on itself as well without having to destroy itself.

No. There is a BUILDING that the forerunners CREATED to PRESERVE the flood. If the Flood spreads, Halo fires, but still keeps the Flood intact.

"Thoughts are the shadows of feelings; always darker, emptier, and simpler."

Like he said. It destroys their FOOD. If all sentient life, (humans, aliens, wormz etc.), were to die out then the flood would have nothing to feed on. They wouldn't be able to make carrier forms. Man please try to be less [the word for a new person].

It kills their food, not the flood, obviosuly the forerunners couldnt find a way to kill the flood, they they sacraficed themselves so the flood couldnt spread, and left the monitors and sentinals to round them all up and lock them up on Halo, maybe hoping that another race would come along and find a way to get rid of them... which isnt quite what happend lol.

You have no argument.

The ring fires into it's own center for a reason. (The blast would cover in the inside.)

Um, no you didn't. Your "theory" has many flaws and the way you introduced it, well frankly it just seemed dumb.

Cha-ching!

But srsly, the flood needs food to spread, and halo kills their food, so, yeah.
