...And so the hero crawled through the fissure on the surface of Tyr. There, the lone Dwarf stared into the cold, dark eyes of Soulblighter...The fiend hefted his blade over his shoulder as a flock of raven took upon his form...

I guess if it works right...

for one thing, H2 on the computer turned out to be false. I forgot the link, but the official Xbox website posted it somewhere.

Number two, NO.

It's just been delayed because Windows Vista has been delayed. The project is still active.

i started a thread about this a while back. i hope it does get a map editor. bungie could come out with new structures and items to use in map creation and make them available in the XBL marketplace.

evilsawdemon - of course halo 2 pc still exists, nub.

no no NO NO! Can you imagine how long setting up matchmaking would take? every single person would have to be downloading the map before the game even started! It would take ages! Anyway, I'm almost positive that 101% of the maps would be, what i like to call, "you're winner!" quality. NO.

Custom maps would never be put on matchmaking, they're just for custom games. Unless bungie found some really excellent maps that they thought we're worth putting into matchmaking, in which everyone could download it from the marketplace

But hell yes, i reackon it would be awsome to create your own maps, and with extra objects being put on the marketplace for download would be awsome. I would create so many maps.

Yep, and imagen this, there are people out there with better map making skills then the pro's, I know because Im one of them. If Bungie wanted to be smart about it, they could make it so only (potentualy) quality maps made it onto Live, anything made short of say 30 hours wouldnt be avalable to play over Live or put in matchmaking. Its imposable to make a good basic map in anything short of that amount of time. Most of mine take 50 hours plus, and Im talking 2-3 weeks (6-8 hours a day) for something really special. That was FCs down point, everyone and there brother publishing all sorts of crap that took them 30mins to make and thought it would be "fun." If Bungie were to put a map maker in with H3 it would be awsome, and if they found a way to only publish the good ones, it would be amazing and a great way to see some other talent other then just Bungie employees. You gotta figure, theres 90 of them, and how meny million of us...theres a good chance we could cook up some amazing stuff, the odds are in our favor, just give us the tools.

I've got the latest Vista BETA, and, it looks great, but there are a lot of bugs. I would expect it is coming out in January 2007.
