Subject: Is it politically incorrect to wish someone a Merry Christmas?

Deal with it.

Only if they don't celebrate it.

Not really familiar with this "problem" since we've always been saying Happy Jule over here. That said, my opinion is that if you can't handle a "happy christmas" there's a good chance that you are an extremeist of some sort. either an extreme atheist or belonging to another religion. Regardless, you need to go.

More on the topic of political correctness, what is up with Disney getting rid of some of the characters in their classic Santa cartoon. They took out what could be considered stereotypical characters such as a blond girl, a black kid and a jew. Five years from now and it's probably going to be illegal to use color in cartoons, it's going to be transparent silhouettes ..and really boring to watch.

Make that "Yule". Could have sworn that I've seen "the "Jule" spelling too in English. Anyhow, I'm from Sweden so we're saying "God Jul". It's not a reference to Christ's birth so people havent complained about it...yet...they'll probably come up with something eventually, the way this is going.

Technically, yes.

Political incorrect? No.

But wishing someone Happy Holidays is awfully more considerate.

Why wouldn't you just say Happy Holidays? Are you really so obsessed with saying Merry Christmas, then when someone turns around and says they're not Christian you'll flame them for it? Kind of hypocritical if you ask me.

Ah, cool! Makes sense now. I'm going to say that to someone tomorrow.
