Subject: Has the year been good for gaming?

Every time you say something is old your dick shrinks.

Unless a Metal Gear game comes out it usually isn't a good year for me.

Should've put decent as a choice.

It was alright. 2010 was the year for me, Summer 2011 was great as well, following up on the 2010 games though (and some few great early 2011 games).

This year was meh. Not bad, not great. Nothing has really stood out overall in the long term. Some great games this year but not much if taking into account this generation of consoles, even less if taking into account all generations of gaming.

So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

It sucked. The last time a year has been good for gaming was back in 2007.

-I was here

I've thoroughly enjoyed every title I've picked up this year. So yeah, good year. maybe not the best year, but a good year nonetheless.

2007 was great, 2008 and 2010 were enjoyable as well. Hopefully 2013 will see the return of some of my favourite franchises, it looks like that might be the case.

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.

My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Don't make me lel. You won't like me when I lel.

why is there no middle ground option? It hasn't been a bad year, just not a great one.

The only one worth mentioning is ME3 and even that wasn't as good as the previous ones.

The end of Mass Effect, the start of a new Halo trilogy, the end of Assassin's Creed, Borderlands gets an awesome sequel, Witcher 2 on Xbox, XCOM sequel, The Walking Dead game, Hitman gets rebooted, amazing Far Cry sequel, SSX gets rebooted, Journey on PSN, Jak and Daxter collection on PS3, Capcom actually makes a great new IP in Dragon's Dogma, Ghost Recon is rebooted, Guild Wars gets a sequel in one of the best games of the year, Jet Set Radio on XBL, LotR finally gets a lego game, and Planetside 2 makes a megafun MMOFPS on PC.

It's been an amazing year. I'm honestly just -blam!- a tonne of the Flood can't do anything but -blam!- about everything.

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

Other than ME3, for me this year was sort of mediocre. Nothing peaked my interest, I found myself sticking to the older games I love such as BF:BC2, Halo 3, GTA IV, and some newer ones like Skyrim. Coincidentally, I don't have much interest in gaming lately, though that could just as easily be a product of the recycled games released. (Call of Duty, Halo 4, AC3) I'll have to check out Max Payne 3 and FarCry 3 to solidify my answer.
