WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Maltodextrin, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Magnesium Oxide, Calcium Fumarate, Yellow 5, Tocopherol and less than 2% natural flavors...

Teabag twin #1 is here to kick ass and chew gum. And I'm all out of gum.

Please help me. I need tips, lots of them. I've tried following guides online but they're very general. I almost need a step-by-step walkthrough.

Seriously. Yesterday I restarted for the thirteenth time, after I failed a terror mission (one I had to attempt with only TWO squad members). Of course, failing a terror mission means the country withdraws funding and by then I had already lost four countries.

I've kinda got squad tactics down, though I need help with ensuring they don't get wounded so often. It's difficult. When should I overwatch and when should I hunker down? When is it okay to use my Assaults for a run and gun? Just how disadvantageous is it to use explosives to kill an alien? Should I interrogate and do autopsies even when I don't have the bonus of South America?

Please help.

And yes, I'm playing on Easy. I'm using Ironman though. Should I just swallow my pride and go in without Ironman?

I never set a base up in Africa or Asia, always North America or Europe. The European bonus is kinda useless though, so on my last five tries I've gone with North America.

And I never let you die.

On the Left

Godshatter: I can go all the way with someone without being attracted to them.
CamCamm: How does that work?
Godshatter: I'm easily aroused by anything that moves. It's a curse.
Brain says 'No, that's ugly', body says 'ugly is fine with me'.

Well, it's worth every cent. Even though I lose so often it is never frustrating.

Except when my soldiers miss a 97% chance shot twice in a row, or you get to a position where you expect to see an alien but don't. That's when it's frustrating.

I'm an Indonesian Halo (and other games) gamer!
Bhineka Tunggal Ika!!

Wait 'till you attack the alien base.

My first attempt at it was smooth until one of my soldier died because of those -blam!- Chrysalid/whatever. After that, all of my attempts result in at least three of my soldiers got brutally mauled.

OT: Go without Ironman, man. Learn the game first. It is really enjoyable up until those morons miss a 90% or above shot

Technically, the cake can NOT be a like. It was seen, in its' true form, to be so deliciously moist. Therefore, you not attending the party was a grave mistake, and you are now shamed in the world. How do you sleep at night?

If I may be so inclined, there's a person on the youtubes named Beagle, who's Ironman Impossible run of Xcom has had me occupied for a while. Might I run it by you? Of course I will. Apart from being pretty helpful, the guy is generally just downright hilarious, IMO.

I love rogue-likes (FTL, Binding of Isaac, Rogue, etc) and XCOM has a brilliant potential to be a rogue-like with Ironman.

I'll just roll with Ironman off and on Easy difficulty.

Thanks.

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

It's really useful to learn legitimate tactical strategy. As in, move up very slowly, putting certain characters on OverWatch, and more importantly, when given cover around a corner, cover one block over from the corner, it still gives you a good shot and you can avoid most incoming attacks. Oh, and focus on Chrysalids first and foremost!

Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

I was gonna post this.

Beagle's series has the advantage of being informative, entertaining and hilarious. He has a lot of good tips for playing on Impossible, which I'm sure you can put to use on easy.

I -blam!- love tactical games. Anyone here play Frozen Synapse?

Hence the name.

But if you could put these strategies into use for easy, it'll be a cakewalk.
