Little known fact; it's actually a type of herb simply used to make food more interesting, much like oregano. The largest con in history is the belief in the 'getting high' placebo effect.

Just speaking generally. Also, I wasn't trying to claim pure marijuana oil was healthy, just not nearly as fatty or unhealthy as other vegetable oils.

Not unless you know what tyranny and freedoms are. Infringing on freedoms is most certainly tyranny.

Hmm. Look at the defintion of tyranny

I'd say laws on drugs hardly counts as tyranny.

Then you're a fool that knows nothing of principle or freedom. We have every right to do with our own bodies whatever we so choose provided we harm no one else.

It's as if you didn't look at the definition of tyranny.

Laws on drugs hardly meet the standard of a tyranny. Especially when alot of drugs (such as alcohol, caffeine e.t.c you get my point) are legal anyway.

lol

Go cook your own meth then. As long as you buy it from somewhere else you're contributing to the illegal drug trade and negatively impacting the war against crime.

I have probably known the definition of tyranny long before you, and it's funny that it only proved yourself to be wrong.

I guess you don't understand that any infringement of freedoms by government is tyranny.

I would never harm myself, I educate myself which is why the only substance I use is marijuana. Prohibition is the problem that causes the crime forcing drugs into a black market which also increases their potency.

From your own source...

1.
arbitrary or unrestrained exercise of power; despotic abuse of authority.

4.
oppressive or unjustly severe government on the part of any ruler.
5.
undue severity or harshness.

I think you should educate yourself a bit more then.

Prohibition is the problem that causes the crime forcing drugs into a black market which also increases their potency. And your brilliant solution to this is...?

Apart from legalizing heroin, meth and the like, there isn't one. So your initial comment on people being able to do whatever they want is made moot.

Is it ironic that if it wasn't illegal he wouldn't be contributing to the illegal drug trade? I'm gonna say that's ironic.

You're basically using that drugs are illegal as an argument against them.

Edit: Look at what Portugal did. They legalized all drugs and treat addiction like a public health issue rather than a crime. This resulted in their addiction rates being cut in half.

Already have. I discarded all of the propaganda.

Legalize drugs. Remember Al Capone? Ya, alcohol prohibition worked SO WELL! Do you see people killing each other over wine today?

Not to mention his idiotic meth comment, as if I'm a drug addict because I see that prohibition is a massive waste and a horrific failure that has ruined the lives of many people over a harmless drug like marijuana.

I am NOT trying to start a debate on whether it should be legal or not.

I am NOT presenting my opinion on the matter.

I ask that no one provide their own opinion on the matter so this stays as factual as possible.

I simply want some answers to a few questions about Marijuana.

1. Is it true common cigarettes are worse for your body then marijuana?

2. What are the actual, not over dramatized effect it has on the body/mind?

3. I have heard you can not overdose on marijuana due to it being smoked, not taken into your system by other means. Is this true?

4. Along with it having such medical effects as being able to prolong a cancer patients life, is it true that it can be used as a viable source of fuel?

Mods/Admins, I know political debates are off limits, and I imagine if this thread gets to popular it might just turn into one. I have no problem with this being locked, by i request that you wait for it to get 2-3 replies so to give my fellow floodians a chance to respond with an appropriate answer. If that is not possible I understand.

I would also just like to note it is almost impossible to find unbiased facts about this subject through google.

lol, this thread will get locked.

1) Any smoke is bad for your lungs, but marijuana is typically better than tobacco. In the UK, most joints are rolled with tobacco into 'splifs.' I understand that's not so common in the US though, so don't worry too much about it. Ultimately you'll be smoking joints far less frequently than you would cigarettes, so as long as you take it easy you shouldn't see any negative health effects. Bear in mind consistent usage can cause some issues with short term memory, and long term it can lead to an increased risk of developing schizophrenia. If you only smoke every now and then though, you'll probably be okay.

2) Everyone experiences it differently. I know people who get incredibly focused when high, and they'll start playing guitar or writing. Personally, it knocks me out; I'll just sit down, everything will go hazy and it's an effort to socialise for me. In terms of body, sensation's increased for me. Everything I touch feels more visceral, food tastes incredible and so on. It can make your mouth really dry, so make sure to drink plenty of water when you're on a bifta.

3) Yes, you cannot overdose on marijuana. But you can whitey out if you smoke too much, and trust me - it's not fun. So take it easy, especially your first few times. Just take a few drags and make sure you eat/drink plenty before you smoke.

4) Weird question. Yes, it's a viable biofuel. But it's seldom used as one, for obvious reasons.

Be careful if you're planning to smoke, make sure you do it with people you can trust - you don't want people being dicks when you're high for the first time. Have fun, it's an enjoyable experience.

This would only happen if you were predisposed to have it in the first place and would be unlocked with the abuse of any substance. It's the fault of mental disorders, not marijuana.

The rest of your post is awesome. Also, Henry Ford originally planned to use hemp as his source of fuel.

So you think heroin and meth should be legal? If so you are honestly an idiot and both conversations I'm currently having with you are over.

If legalizing them would cause the people that recognize they have addiction problems to seek help because they no longer fear criminal punishment, and would take money away from the dealers while giving it to the government, I don't see why not.

Or are you one of those people that think because something becomes legal everyone will want to do it?

Yes, because prohibiting them only causes more harm and increases their potency. We saw this with alcohol, you are the only idiot here. And if some idiot wants to ruin their life with harmful substances that is their right.

It also makes it easier for children to access.

You can't get in legal trouble for seeking help, that's why there are drug rehabilitation programs.
