Subject: Should Halo 5 have a dual-campaign like Halo 2?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

What seems like an age ago, a game called Halo 2 was released which aroused a fair bit of controversy at the time because you played as the Arbiter for about half the game. Some loved it, some hated it.

So in 3 years time when Halo 5 is released, would you like to see history repeat itself with another dual-campaign?

I'd personally love it, I think the campaign should be split into 2 sections - Chief going on his 'Search for Spock' kind of journey to find Cortana, while the Arbiter tries to unite the Sangheili, humanity and the other Covenant races after learning about the imminent threat of the Precursors' return.

I wouldn't mind, but I think a lot of people would prefer a story that focuses on only Master Chief.

This. The dual-story was one of my favourite things about Halo 2, but yeah. It's hard to find appreciation for it anywhere else.

Halo 4 = Halo CE
Halo 5 = Halo 2

Yes, it kinda follows the first trilogy.

The Arbiter? No.

The Didact? Yes.

Assuming Halo 4 Didact is Ur-Didact, how about a Bornstellar Didact campaign alongside Chief's?

Country: United States.
State: Pennsylvania.
County: Warren.
I graduated from high school on June-11-2011. I'm 19 right now. I'm turning 20 in December. I like playing video games, and board games. I like reading Sci-Fi, and World War II novels, and what not.

"There is nothing better in the world than being better at a video game than someone else....oh wait"

I would like one because we learn differenet parts of the story. But the only way I want one is if they make it play differenetly. Even though we played as the Arbiter it was basically the Master Cheif. Because we killed the same enemies and the gameplay is the same.

I would love another dual-campaign I personally liked the Arbiter missions the best although I did like the High Charity ones with the Chief.

That would be really interesting actually, he went on the Great Journey with the surviving Forerunners to find the Precursors after the Halos fired.

"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle- victorious"

That would be awesome. I loved the Arbiter's missions, they provided some variety to Halo 2's campaign.

YES.

Yes.

Yes.

In order to retain the importance of multiple character in the Halo Universe it is ESSENTIAL for you to play as another character. Adding the Arbiters character to the game was one of the most brilliant things they did with the series.

A risky step, but a good one.

If 343 indudstries knows what they are doing they will allow you to play as a forerunner during the war against the flood or ancient humans...

A flashback of sorts.

Sacred Icon, Uprising and The Great Journey are some of my favourite missions in the series. Plus, Thel is by far one of the most interesting characters in Halo.

Or you could scatter forerunner AIs throughout every level. They should be hidden like the skulls from Halo 3. Upon finding an AI, it gives you the option to play a memory which, in turn, allows you play a mission.

My troll sense is tingling.

Not sure. I'd love to see them continue on developing John but I really liked Arbiter and the whole Covenant side of Halo 2.

If the Ur-Didact is alive, this means Bornstellar fired the Halos.

Please god yes. One of the best things imo was the arbiter side of the campaign, it was so cool to see the infighting of the covenant, their leaders, their own side troubles. And the arbiter, man he was and still is an awesome character.

I can't believe people actually disliked that about the campagin, if the entire campaign was focused on him i could understand a bit.

Yes pl0x.

The arbiter is what makes Halo 2's campaign replayable.

If I remember correctly, people didn't like it because it took the focus off Master Chief fighting on Earth, whereas in the marketing campaign, that was all that was talked about.
