Subject: Should Halo 5 have a dual-campaign like Halo 2?

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

I'd love it. Also, how about having dual-wielding eh??

I would love to have a dual-campaign and follow Arby once again. Just throw us right into his homeworld and culture similar to what Halo 2 did.

I actually love that idea, OP. Like, yours specifically. Great way to tie the personal story in with the bigger picture.

Thank you. :)

I think that with the emphasis on John's development now, that kind of personal story would be quite fitting in the next game. Thel needs to be brought back, he's a great character, and I'd like to see him have a larger role in the story as a whole.

Straight Edge.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

The Arbiter missions in Halo 2 were awesome. And I personally find Arbiter to be the best character in the series, well developed. Halo 5 needs this.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Halo 4 = Halo CE
Halo 5 = Halo 2

Yes, it kinda follows the first trilogy.

Also, it would be fun to play as the Arbiter.

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

Yes it should. I loved it.

I wouldn't mind, but I think a lot of people would prefer a story that focuses on only Master Chief.

Assuming Halo 4 Didact is Ur-Didact, how about a Bornstellar Didact campaign alongside Chief's?

If the Ur-Didact is alive, this means Bornstellar fired the Halos.

The Halos protect their charges from themselves. Besides, he would have fired then from the Ark anyway.

Though I doubt Born will be a playable character, I do hope that it will have a split campaign. I'd love to see Arbiter again.

Come to think of it, it'd be the reverse of Halo 2, where John is the personal story and now Arbiter fills in the role of the "bigger picture" perspective.

That'd be interesting. And I agree he must be brought back. He's too important to just ignore, and I'll lose a little respect for 343i if he's killed behind the scenes or in a book.

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

I'd be interested to see what it'd be like to play as Arbiter, fighting on the surface of Sanghelios; avoiding assassains trying to eliminate you (as per Sangheili culture when a Kaidon is disliked), and trying to keep the Vadam keep in power.

halo 4 was a fail, Halo 5 will be also

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

As long as it's done well I wouldn't have an issue. Halo 2's split campaign was a great idea but it was also a missed opportunity, with the Arbiters missions being fairly weak and poorly designed. I'm always down for more story, but it needs to handled well in terms of gameplay.

YES.

Yes.

Yes.

In order to retain the importance of multiple character in the Halo Universe it is ESSENTIAL for you to play as another character. Adding the Arbiters character to the game was one of the most brilliant things they did with the series.

A risky step, but a good one.

If 343 indudstries knows what they are doing they will allow you to play as a forerunner during the war against the flood or ancient humans...

A flashback of sorts.

Or you could scatter forerunner AIs throughout every level. They should be hidden like the skulls from Halo 3. Upon finding an AI, it gives you the option to play a memory which, in turn, allows you play a mission.

I like both of these ideas. I wouldn't mind playing as the Arbiter again, but playing as the Didact would be a very nice change of pace and playing in the past would be thrilling. It would also serve as the return of the Flood.

If they flesh out the characters more, yes.

Personally I'm sick of the Chief.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Yeah but there was a point to it in Halo 2

I would prefer a dual campaign again.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

As long as it works an doesn't awkwardly cut out for no good reason, I see no problem with it.

I can see it now. Halo 5 is Halo 2 Anniversary. /sarcasm

But yeah, that would be nice, I doubt it, though, sadly. :(

That would require the person to admit their mistake first. And don't say I didn't give them a chance. I disagree with the direction they went in both gameplay and story in Halo 4. However, if they do include some if these things, I'll bite.
