Reports of toxic gas being used against civilians

I would hope that other countries would help me out if my government started gassing civilians.

If someone gonna get involved, it would be NATO, and if NATO would be involved in this, I can see Russia getting involved too.
I hope no External personal will be involved, let the Rebels and Assad settle it.

-bow chicka brown cow-

we can't. Syria's air defense network is really good.

The US is in NATO.

Why should people who believe in human rights sit back while these rights are violated.

If the US was in a Civil War in which human rights violations were occurring, I would hope someone would step in to stop it.

I can see it all already, I should be a psychic.

First the US will refuse to go, NATO will send UN peacekeeping forces. Then CNN/FOX etc. will report on all the human rights violations, and people will start crying and saying we need to do something. US will take action. Then, once the US does take action, the media will report on US war dead and everyone will go, "damn the government for sending our troops to die for no reason!" Then everyone will blame the government for everything, and say how the US was going about policing the world, is a horrible country, etc.

The Libyans were practically begging for aid from NATO, and how did they repay the west...

They defeat the enemy yes, but the leader they replace him with can't hope to keep the status quo. Once he's either killed or his term ends it's usally right back to an islamist regime.

America is technically already involved; does 400 Patriot missiles and around 40,000 troops not involve America?

By the way, before somebody snaps on me for being behind, this is the last I heard.

I believe the OP means directly involved, such as troops in the country.

If it does go far enough that chemical weapons are being used, than the UN and NATO need to address it. Not just the US

Herp.

BTW, NATO is consisting of 28 independent nations, including the UK and USA. 40,000 troops is the last I heard, so I'll just start searching for more news.

Something smells fishy...

I think the U.S. recently recognized, except for the jihadist networks that joined the fight, the opposition to the Assad Regime.

Therefore more aid will be flowing to help the refugees.

I think the extent to which the US will be involved with the Syrian crisis is to provide weapons to the Syrian opposition.

Recon Number 54 -
If they are still looking, then while holding the snarl, I let drool start to drip from my mouth, I stand, curl my fingers into claws and with a hunched over crouch, I then make slow and deliberate steps towards them. When I get close enough, I let them hear my agonized and gasping growls and then, if they continue to stare, when I get within arm's reach? I kiss them on the nose, and run away giggling.

The minute that Assad loses control of the Chemical Weapons is when NATO/UN should intervene.

The last thing this world needs is Al Qaeda with Sarin gas bombs.

Key

At the point where it actually affects us. -blam!- Syria. -blam!- the mentality that we should be the World Police.
