we can't. Syria's air defense network is really good.

Incorrect. The F-22A Increment 3.2 can carry 8 SDBs or 2 1000lb JDAMs internally. These weapons would be used to strike pre-identified C3 assets of the Syrian IADS with near-impunity. Once the C3 infrastructure is degraded or destroyed, 4th-generation legacy aircraft can enter the AO and begin operations against the remainder of the Syrian military.

Alternatively, F-22A Blk. 32/B-2A can be used to strike high-value targets (including the aforementioned IADS C3 infrastructure) such as C3 and chemical weapons production/storage facilities, or other sites as CENTCOM/NCA sees fit.

Directly addressing the IADS, the 48-odd S-300/SA-10 'GRUMBLE' launchers are the true threat to any USAF/USN aircraft. These launchers can be blinded by destroying their C3 assets, and degraded by escort/area jamming. The remainder of the systems are not especially threatening, and can be more-or-less left alone except in the case of a full-scale ground invasion.

I am personally in favor of limited operations to knock out Syrian chemical weapons stockpiles, and as few other targets as possible. If the Free Syrian Army wants to overthrow Assad, Godspeed to them, but they should not have it handed to them. However, they also should not have to deal with chemical WMDs.

Never. America should not police the world.

I live my life with the understanding that if something is wrong I should say/do something about it.

I have stepped in to stop people from getting hurt in public places. I expect my country to hold similar values and step in when other countries are blatantly violating human rights.

This kind of isolationism is pretty pathetic.

Stop bumping your thread.

When did I bump my thread?

A legitimate response to a 15 minute old post is now a bump?

Your posts are void of any type of intelligence. Not surprising from a user who bases his name on debunked economic ideals.

We can afford it today.

As much as I'd hate to say it. I think this first decade of the 21st century has shown us two things.

Middle East is unstable as hell.

America needs to stay the heck away from the Middle East.

Let the Arabs see what happens when we don't come rushing in to save the day.

Implying the West already has...

Ah yes rushing in to kill more people and get bogged down in another war.

You're a mod, you should be used to that.

Who cares anymore? Right now people are wanting us to step in but give it a year after stepping in and those same morons will be yelling ," WHY ARE YOU EVEN IN THERE, GOOD JOB AMERICA, KILLING MORE PEOPLE BABLALBLABLAB!"
Just let the Middle East rot.

That's not addressing what I've said. The US has addressed just causes in unjust ways. Afghanistan is a perfect example of a justifiable invasion.

Yeah, let's do Libya all over again. Take down the last semblance of order, leaving behind a shattered country and a perfect expansion ground for anti-Western Islamic extremism. Great idea.
