Sorry my man. But I'll NEVER give up my guns.
And there are tons of people like you. This is what i mean by worshipping your guns. Its a fetish

Well after an armed robber broke in my house when I was 15 and I was able to scare him off with my dads gun before I called the police, I'll always have a gun in my house.

I worship nothing other than god. I like guns. They are great for protecting yourself.
They are also great for going on a rampage in Schools and other places

I'm sure they are. Maybe if there was an armed guard ( like there was at all of my schools) it would have been less severe or not have happened at all.

But again, tell me how someone would take my guns away? How would that even be possible?

It's quite simple, really. The police obtain a warrant and search your house, because it's fairly obvious you're a known gun owner. If they find a gun, they "pick it up" and "take it away". If you resist, the police would restrain you and take your guns regardless. If you use the guns to resist, armed response teams will be called. These teams will kill you and the guns still end up getting taken.

Pretty simple, really.

It is not just for home defense.
Do you seriously think you can fend off your military?

Do you seriously think our military is going to go and slaughter their own fellow citizens?
Huh... debating you is very easy. You argue against yourself.

Wouldn't happen. But in that case, they'd have to kill me.

If the military won't attack you, you don't need guns to defend yourself from them. If the military does attack you, your guns will at best mildly delay the inevitable. Either way, there is no point in having guns to defend your freedom against a government.

Meaning you'd still lose the guns. Ergo, I win. Kthxbai.

Probably because law abiding citizens can't carry guns at school. Utah allows concealed carry and they have never had any school shootings.
More guns would not save these fire fighters

Well you mentioned schools and that was clearly what I was addressing in my post. As for the firefighters we don't know much about the circumstances as to why they were shot.

The military is not the government.

If you feel a powerful need to distinguish between the two, replace the word "government" with "military". I also like the way you quibble over which words are used in an attempt to avoid the fact I have conclusively proven there is no point arming yourself to defend your freedom from a military force.

Wouldn't matter cause I'd be dead. And so would many other innocent people.

OMG. Shooters, can you please give us a break for about a year! If not more! I'm getting sick of hearing people gunned down. Especially people who save lives...

So you would die for your guns?

No. I'd die fighting for my freedom and my rights

the fact that shootings are pretty much normal behavior in America is sad.

Do you ever give up?

He is correct about that. What's the most you've done with your weapons, shoot targets?

Rock bottom is no place to set up camp. Especially in the dark.

Why is everyone so one-sided? Yo act as if there is no grey. There will always be shootings, sadly. Banning guns is not the solution, but neither is leaving it completely alone. We only control one part of this, the legal part. You aren't going to stop somebody from legally obtaining a weapon. But you can stop a nut-case from legally acquiring one.

Why don't we simply put people through gun training and courses? Or maybe even do mental evaluations before somebody is able to buy a gun? Also, you don't need an automatic weapon to protect your home and family with proper training with single-shot weapons such as pistols or shotguns. There is no reason to own an automatic weapon. To me, a person purchasing an automatic weapon would be screaming, "Hey look, I'm going to shoot up a school."

Defended my home with my fathers gun.

Defended myself and my wife from a mugger wielding a knife trying to rob us in Philadelphia

Please show me how many more people die a year to automatic weapons to semi auto.

No, but seriously. I don't think there's a single reason to own an automatic weapon when a handgun will definitely suffice. Especially with the training I spoke of.
