it isn't because gun control is "bad", mind you. There are more and more people being born on earth and less and less people are dying at certain ages. More people on earth means a greater chance for a crime to be committed. More people, more crime. Nothing we can do about it.

(I don't believe in genocide, so don't call me a supporter.)

That would be true if there was a smooth, general trend. There isn't.

  • 12.24.2012 9:47 AM PDT

Can we go one day without these threads, please?

People just love to shoot things and the things they love to shoot the most is other people.

But gun violence has been going down for years, including this year.

So I guess all of that pillaging and mass murder back then was just people playing around.

No, I'm saying that a greater population means a greater chance for such things to happen.

We've had billions of people in our population for years, including this one.

Okay, i'll just rephrase my whole statement so you understand. Crime will always happen, but the ever so increasing population makes the probability of crime increase. Ever notice how our crime rates have increased? Lack of common sense plus more people have caused it. (I still don't believe in genocide)

As I said, crime rates are falling, not rising. They have been for years.

Graph.

Your entire hypothesis is wrong.

He just said that crime rates are going down, and you countered with "Well crime rates are going up because..." That's what me means by your statement making no sense.

As you can see, crime from a long time ago to crime today is much less. We've had a somewhat good run, but the amounts of crime are still much higher in comparison to a long time ago.

I know how so many terrible things happened in history, but the frequency of terrible things has been increased in the 20th century +.
I know what you're saying. Probability and all that, however I made a statement that contradicts it. History contradicts that statement.

You're a really poor troll. You are fishing way too hard and nobody is biting. Please either actually try or stop. It's embarrassing.

I'm trolling because I want people to stop shooting each other? How the hell is that trolling?

You said the issue was because more people are being born and less people are dying. I'm assuming you think that affects crime rates because there are more people competing for limited resources.

But as you and I both now know, crime rate has been falling from 1990-now, during which period we've seen the Earth's population explode.

So if more people = more crime, how come there has been less crime from 1990-now?

Then you are terribly misinformed. Gun owners aren't going out and shooting each other. The only people I ever hear about, are people that have gotten their weapons illegally. So banning guns won't help anything.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.
