I like Cheese

Think about for a second, the media and all exaggerates the violence regarding all the shooting cases, sure what happened in the last 2 weeks were terrible and all.
The Media blows things out proportions, and such.
If today's Media was during the Civil War, it would be the same.
People live and die by the sword, it's nothing new, so why does the Media makes it out to be like it's something new?

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

Well of course! If they didn't the government couldn't push new policies.

The Media exaggerates just about anything to make a story.

Basic human psycology. They take advantage of that and it draws in viewers, which makes them money. Thus why they exaggerate everything.

It's too boring to hear reports about the millions of normal people who don't do violent things.

  • 12.24.2012 10:08 AM PDT

They need to report violence otherwise you're gonna have a very boring news day.

Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

OP has a point.

I would also like to add that in the months folowing up to the shooting I heard someone die every day or every other day.

15 shootings happen every day most likely, but the media chose not to broadcast them until now.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Fear is the biggest selling commodity and the media knows it.

What if I told you...

*scoots in closer*

I hate you

They exaggerate so they can turn it to US propaganda.

Think about, lets talk about dead kids, play some generic sounding Murrica music, show pictures of Obama, then boom! Easy propaganda, and no one is the wiser!

- I agree the media exaggerates. I blame it on there being news 24 hours a day.

- These massacre shootings always get a lot of attention but then it dissipates until the next time one happens. And there in lies the problem. It happens everyone talks about it and then stops and doesn't try to prevent the next one.

So in my opinion there should be discussion/debate and it shouldn't just be reported but it should be addressed. Not left to dissipate again.
