If you want to save the most money maybe you should consider getting an AMD processor. I know a lot of people here would disagree with that notion, and obviously intel is better. But it's not necessary for gaming.

Ok I would be fine with amd and as long as it could play most games today's age and for 4-5 years.

My Phenom II X2 550 dual-core can run most current-gen games. :P

Yeah if you go with an AMD instead you'll be able to upgrade the graphics card instead which is more important. While staying within the same price range.

I'm not sure how the other guy linked it the way he did but I came up with this

And that HD 7950 might even be overkill...

I made my user name back when I was little. I go by RandomJPG now. Please don't reference my username.

Why are people saying to get an intel? If all you are doing is gaming you don't need to spend anymore than $800. And go with AMD. It's just as good for gaming (if you were doing stuff like video editing go with intel but for gaming AMD will suit you just fine). It might not be as fast but the price/speed ratio is much better than an intel. You can even go on newegg and get some DIY computer kits that have all the parts listed for you. Here's a pretty good setup for a decent price..

OP. If I were you, I would buy this.

This is my current computer right now and I bought it recently. It's a little bit over $1000 but it's totally worth the price. This thing is like a race car.

Op should go with this. Nice deal, and you can upgrade to a nicer video card in the future if you want, like a GTX.

I'm not quite sure what the equivalent is but that FX 4100 is the same one I have and it works just fine.

Yeah I saw it was a screenshot but I couldn't pull up that screen. I couldn't fit all the info and price onto it like he did.

Ok thanks that seems a bit cheaper. No point in spending an extra 300 if I don't have to.

There is none. The only AMD processors worth buying are several years old now (don't go for Bulldozer based AMD chips, they're awful and you might as well save the cash).

Not to say the older processors are bad for gaming, they aren't. But AMD has no equivalent to the modern i5.

Okay OP I came up with this

I realized the last one I linked didn't come with an OS..

But yeah like I said if you mess around with stuff on here you can get a good deal.

Here's a link to the build on the site hopefully it works. You can change out the case if you want something that looks better without changing the price too much.
