Subject: What's in your zombie survival guide?

How prepared are you for the inevitable zombie infection? Here we share useful information to surviving in the zombie-ridden post-apocalyptic world. Would you try to find a group, or got it alone? Hunker down, or go nomadic?

Here's what I would try and include in my zombie survival kit:

An external frame hiking backpack
A lightweight mummy-style sleeping bag
A lghtweight, mesh hammock
One spare shirt and pair of pants
At least two liters of water
Flint and steel
Canned foods, or if I can find them, army ration meals
Duct tape
A swiss army knife, or other multitool
A personal first aid kit
A crank-powered flashlight
Water purification tablets
A machete or hatchet, or anything similar I can find.

My plan at first would be to search my town and the surrounding neoghborhoods, scavenging and looking for survivors. If I could find any, I would, of course, become the leader, and take my group to the nearest Costco. There would be plenty of food there, including nonperishables after the produce and meat is gone or expired. Plus weapons in the forms of lawn care equipment, golf clubs, baseball bats, etc. A heavy chainlink fence runs around mine, and there are thick garage-like doors to keep unwanted visitors out. Not to mention tons of cars in the parking lot, and even a big gas station to power the generators. We could live there for a long time I think.

Share your zombie survival tips & tricks, Flood.

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

I'd get a bike and a modern hunting crossbow and just keep traveling the countryside until I die somehow.

Well I will probably be stopping a criminal and end up in hospital. Then i'll wake up to a strange world. Then i'll set up a group and head to a farm. Then it will get overrun and i'll go to a prison, however my group will get broken up and i go on a rescue mission to a village. Then I will lose a member who went to save his brother..

"Ignorance is a plague."

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

The things you listed plus:
10/22 and ammo
Sewing kit
Rope (550 cord is nice)
Garbage bags (you can use them for anything)

I'd also replace the swiss army knife with a solid fixed blade (I like my KA-BAR) and a small toolkit. Swiss army knives and multitools just aren't study enough to last a long time.

Edit: this is purely theoretical, I'm not crazy enough to keep a zombie kit prepared in my house.

Why would want to survive a zombie apocalypse?

I personally feel like even life in a hell on earth is better than no life at all.

And yes, this is all just for fun discussion.

I think it would be a way to really see how you as a person are in a world on the edge...

Derp

move to an island shelter, assuming the only way the zombification is transmitted through bites. If its a necromancer, I'd probably do the same thing.
