Tyrannical dictator vs. terrorists with AQ affiliation

If anything, America should be kicking back with a bowl of popcorn.
Ignoring the hundreds of thousands of civilians caught between them?

But hey, this is exactly the sort of shortsightedness I expect from the Flood.
Yes. I've said it before and I'll say it again: -blam!- Syria. I don't give a -blam!- about Syria. The US has been consistently at war with somebody in some way since 1941 and now we're at war with an idea: Terrorism. How the actual -blam!- do you defeat Terrorism at large?

So, once again, -blam!- Syria. I hope to God we don't go there.

Being over their is just a waste, one big money pit. Let them deal with it. If any other country wants to -blam!- by all means they can go step in themselves.

Damned if we do, Damned if we don't.
Let them fight their own civil war. We should focus on ourselves, not some third world -blam!-hole.

As awful as this sounds, I tend to agree. We should be concerned and voice our opposition, but any action I oppose at the moment.

Our troops are facing towards the Sun,
Stepping on the earth of Motherland,
Carrying the nation's hope,
We are an indomitable power!
Our troops are facing towards the Sun;
Marching towards the final victory
And the liberation of entire country!

The terrorists faked the airstrike which was nowhere near a bakery and killed only militants, and is obviously forging another attack.

This thread is much stranger and more awkward than any of my many films.

One problem is that if UN decides to intervene IF (VERY BIG IF) those group actually used chemical weapons, then there is high chance that US will be somewhat involved as well.

Using chemical weapons in the war = every nation in UN becomes mad or wary because it's against the Geneva Convention, I believe. World War I saw extensive usage of chemical weapons and World War 2 as well, that set final stone for Geneva Convention to ban on usage of chemical weapon in the warfare.

The Geneva Protocal, Biological Weapons Convention, and the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention are what you're thinking of. WWII didn't see much chemical weapons use outside of China, so a better documented and more example of their usage is the Iran-Iraq War a.k.a. the First Gulf War. The Iraqis used a helluva lot of chemical weapons during that war.

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Same here. I personally think we should cut off all foreign aid until we get the budget balanced, or at least a lot closer to balanced. At this point, we can't afford all that we send overseas in foreign aid.

And where do you think they got the technology and materials to make those weapons?

I poasted a few days ago. Need to keep up appearances and such...

It's not my fault, I was just trying to tie my shoe!

Join TFS, the grooviest private group on bungie.net! We r cewl gaiz who dun fraid of nething. Join for heated debates, game nights, and lols. We're waiting! (Be a man) We must be swift as the coursing river. (Be a man), With all the force of a great typhoon. (Be a man), With all the strength of a raging fire. Mysterious as the dark side of the moon!

One day I will join the military, and I will be honored to die protecting civilians who can't protect themselves from scum like him. But we won't. We will sit back, and do nothing, because that's just how it is. People will scold the US either way, because they have nothing else to blame.

Signatures are for little kids.

I'm guessing that it's the 'not fun' kind of nerve gas.

Too bad, not sure if I should be sad for those in Syria, or still sad about all the pain and woe in Africa...

I'm just going to ignore all the worlds woes and have a good Christmas with the family I have left.

Those who die will die with or without my tears.

If we step in we lose either way. If we help the rebels we're supporting Al Queda. If we help Asaad we're supporting a dictatorship.. something our morals stand against. We need to stay out of this.
