Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

Since you have a PCIEx16 slot, you can use pretty much any modern video card. The more important factors to consider are your budget (they can get damn expensive), your case (If the card fits) and your power supply.

Thank you!!!
It's a 2.0 x 16
I'm guessing I can't use any video cards that have 3.0 x 16?

And I have a HUGE case
Also 550 watts

There are very few PCI-E 3.0 video cards (and they're $500 or more) and even then, using them with that motherboard will not reduce performance. Even if the case is big, check whether there is anything blocking the card from fitting; some of them are quite long.

You can either pop open your case and measure it or Google it to check how much space there is.

This is a useful resource for finding the best graphics card for your budget.

Depending on what video card you get, the power supply MAY become a problem, but only if you're getting a very powerful card.

A few questions: What CPU do you have? What resolution is the monitor you will be using? What games do you want to be able to play? How much money do you have to spend?

CPU: quad core AMD anthlon II x4 653

I have a samsung monitor..It's resolutions is top notch, 1920 x1200? i believe? or maybe 1920 x 1080. It's just the best one haha

My budget is up to $150

I wanna play skyrim, more hopeful on higher settings.
I'm thinking about upgrading my memory from 4gb to 8gb. Would that be helpful?

I'd recommend getting one of these. $140 (after the mail-in rebate) and it will run Skyrim just fine on High (maybe Ultra). You even get Assassin's Creed III free as a bonus.

It's a small card, so you don't have to worry about it not fitting in your case.
