Would an unneeded artery bypass improve blood flow/oxygen delivery?

Basically, if you increased the size of an artery/vein or got bypasses that were unneeded, would it potentially give you any sort of physical advantage over someone without it?

Maybe increased endurance?

That's true, I never thought about that. Perhaps if you increase the number of red blood cells somehow? And then I guess you'd also need more white too.

It would be good for someone who has high blood pressure, I'd imagine (since there are many drugs that vasodilate to reduce BP), but could be potentially harmful for your average person like the person above me said or someone like me who has low BP.
