Subject: Who else thinks Reach had a great campaign?

I really spoiled it for myself when all the leaks starting coming out but when I played it myself it was just refreshing and intense. You knew you were going to lose, and it was sad seeing noble team die one by one, it took you to a lot of places and very unusual but suspenseful tasks. I enjoyed it, multiplayer was horrible though. Don't even get me started on that...

The most dangerous gunslinger in the west.

It was okay at best.

It wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. Better than Halo 4 by far.

  • 12.25.2012 4:33 PM PDT

Totally.
People tend to just be nostalgic and stupid. It was great, and imo way better than the first halo.

  • 12.25.2012 4:33 PM PDT

Stop banning me please.

It was ok. same with 3.

Halo 2 was the only Halo with an AMAZING campaign.

I was really hoping for a large scale vehicle war between UNSC and covenant forces, like 20 warthogs and a few tanks and falcons against 4 scarabs and stuff.

But it didn't happen :(

Marine Corps.
Semper Fi.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Pretty good gameplay. It's just a shame Bungie had to crap all over the previously written canon which was far more action packed.

I mean seriously... you read Reach the book and it's a huge battle. And then in the game we're (literally) driving farm carts around a countryside.

Like how do you -blam!- that up?

I was also expecting a scarab battle, that would have been nice...

I enjoyed it.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Does the same apply to your own life?

x_*x Blame Stosh

I thought it was one of the better campaigns, and Reach's strong suit. The campaign and Forge were Reach's saving grace for me.

Well if you count the 3 scarabs you drive past in the last mission...

I think it's a good campaign but it has a lot of potential to be in a larger scale.

Glory days only apply to multiplayer, not campaign, at least for me.

But those weren't battles, you never actually "fought" them, you just zoomed passed and escaped really.

My best bet is that our current consoles wouldn't be able to handle the battles that were in Reach, so Bungie just had to substitute.

Dat dual campaign.
For me, my favorites were Halo 2 and ODST. Reach wasn't as bad as everyone says it is.

Signatures are for little kids.

Played through it once and quickly forgot about it.

Like all FPS campaigns, don't know why they still bother making them.

Regardless of story/canon issues, I thought it was pretty fun to play through, and it's probably my favorite campaign since CE.

Sorry, but as an overall campaign... it was pretty trashy. It almost completely threw out previous canon, and much of it was fairly boring. The only 2 missions teh puma actually enjoyed was LnoS, and the final mission. The rest were just so boring to him.
