His past three posts just consisted of calling people in this thread retards and idiots. If you have to resort to that, I don't even know if I want to hear an argument from him.

still doesnt make sense, but closer

It's closer, but I think it's only about twenty or twenty five percent of Americans who've graduated, not fifty, so the number would be higher still. The more likely explanation is that these were two different studies.

It wasn't an argument, it was a statement. Anyway, an invalid argument is one whose conclusions do not follow from its premises. The statements represented below:

Guns can kill people
Guns should be banned
Knives can kill people

Do not entail the conclusion that knives should be banned. Since the conclusion does not follow from the premises, an argument attempting to claim that it does is invalid. That's simply what it means for an argument to be invalid, and I'm not arguing that, I'm explaining it.
You stated a position opposite of mine, am I not supposed to see that as argumentative?

Besides, the origin of this began as: "Owning guns is the equivalent of the right to take someone's life" AgentCOP1 explained that if that is true, then the potential and right to take someone's life is in all things that can be used as weapons.

Is he wrong? No one has attacked that statement, merely told him that he was using logical fallacies. I then pointed out that neither you or Dutchy has invalidated his argument by pointing out a simply fallacy.

It doesn't matter if you saw what I said as 'argumentative', because it simply did not meet the definition of an argument.

Besides, the origin of this began as: "Owning guns is the equivalent of the right to take someone's life" AgentCOP1 explained that if that is true, then the potential and right to take someone's life is in all things that can be used as weapons.

I wasn't trying to invalidate his argument, just to explain that a fallacious argument is invalid (Or possibly just unsound, if the fallacy is informal).

You: Yes, it does invalidate the argument.

Yeah, that's not an oppositional post.

And yet you haven't proved his statement invalid, you're simply pointing out a logical fallacy which has no bearing on the point of the argument.

Exactly. What is the point of publishing something of people that do something the legal way whereas a lot of shootings are committed by people that already bypass laws and own firearms illegally?

Because bandwagon stupidity. Lot of gun disscusions, lets make for map of gun owners for ..."safety", I don't know, make a lot of people mad, and give home invaders a road map.

'It' being a formal fallacy. I never contended whether or not he was using one, only that doing so does, indeed invalidate an argument. I also corrected your misstatement of the 'fallacy fallacy'.

A fallacy is a defect in an argument. A formal fallacy is a defect in the form or structure of an argument. Since deductive arguments depend on formal properties and inductive arguments don't, formal fallacies apply only to deductive arguments. Informal fallacies are defects found in the content of the argument, which could be inductive or deductive.Deductive reasoning that is mathematically correct (logical) is valid. Deductive reasoning that is incorrect (logically faulty, illogical) is fallacious. Reasoning can be valid even if the assumptions on which it is based are false. If reasoning is valid and based on true premises, it is sound.

No, it doesn't invalidate the point. Keep trying to prove that statement buddy, even though you've brought no evidence to the table.

A fallacy does not immediately cancel out the point being made, contrary to popular internet belief (as shown in this thread), it merely misrepresents the idea.

As far as fallacy fallacy goes:
Argument A for the conclusion C is fallacious.
Therefore, C is false.

The base standard of a fallacy fallacy. The original argument that was made was deemed invalid by Dutchy and disputed by me on the grounds that a fallacy was made. This invokes the fallacy fallacy in which the argument A was disregarded based on the inclusion of a fallacy.

An argument that relies on a formal fallacy is, indeed, invalid (as a valid argument is one with no flaws in reasoning, and a formal fallacy is precisely a flaw in reasoning). An argument that relies on an informal fallacy is (at least) unsound, and possibly also invalid. This does not mean that the conclusions drawn from the argument are false, it simply means that the argument does not prove those conclusions.

In philosophy, a formal fallacy is a pattern of reasoning that is always wrong. This is due to a flaw in the logical structure of the argument which renders the argument invalid. A formal fallacy is contrasted with an informal fallacy, which may have a valid logical form, but be false due to the characteristics of its premises, or its justification structure.

As far as fallacy fallacy goes:
Argument A for the conclusion C is fallacious.

You don't understand the difference between invalid and false in this context. One applies to an argument, the other to a statement (respectively). Alternatively, it could be that you're not properly making the distinction between an argument and a conclusion.
