Subject: So I managed to attain a 3.00 flat this semester

Halo 3

I was at a 3.00 when starting the semester and i'm finishing with the same. 3.00 or higher is my goal as a college student. It's harder than I thought... sometimes life is unforgiving. But honestly i'm not alright with this. This semester could have gone terribly or brilliantly. My predictions ranged from a 2.85 to a 3.20.

Man if I had that 3.2. Me and my apathy.

SUPER BLOG!!!!!

Grades in the American school system use letters A-F (or E for F depending on where you're from) to describe your level of success in the class, usually with grades in between like B- and B+.

Typically:
A = 95-100%, or 4.00
A- = 90-94%, or 3.67
B+ = 87-89%, or 3.33
B = 83-86%, or 3.00
B- = 80-83%, or 2.67
C+ = 77-79%, or 2.33
C = 73-76%, or 2.00
C- = 70-73%, or 1.67
D = 60-69%, or 1.00
F = below 60%, or 0.00

My cumulative score is a 3.00 for this semester.

For this semester I got:

C
B+
B+
B-
A-

Mostly 100 level courses. Next semester i'll be taking intermediate microeconomics, international economics, french linguistics, some other poli sci class, and a computer science class (people telling me i shud take it for basic understand and -blam!-)...

Next semester i'll be taking 3 300 level courses (I guess the number representing "intermediate," lol).

Don't worry, one day you'll be one of us.

Or hopefully you'll be one of them, as my GPA is garbage

Small Community, Lots of Fun. We do Halo, Minecraft, and much more.

I got a 3.29. Good job on the 3, considering you said it could be worse.

3.0 is not bad, but it'll be quite hard to raise if it drops below that. I graduated with 3.8 cumulative; 4.0 major.

BTW Elites rule!

And I am probably just trolling you right now....especially if it is a controversial thread

Where do you go to college?

  • 12.25.2012 9:35 PM PDT

Unto the Fray we go

My Semester 1 GPA is 3.28

but still, 3.0 isn't bad at all.

ooga booga boooh

Congrats OP. May I ask if this is your first year? If so, that isn't exactly easy to accomplish. Many do very menially in their first year.

I am at a 70 and a 69 in two of my classes, an 80-83 in another, and unmarked in my fourth class as of yet.

  • 12.25.2012 9:49 PM PDT

I'm thankful I'm still in high school and have another year until graduation, but I am going to dread what work awaits me in college. Good luck to all college students!

It takes a bit of getting used to, but it is so much better then high school in my opinion (given it may be because ive only done 1 semester and i hated high school with a passion.)

  • 12.25.2012 10:13 PM PDT

-I was here

I got a 3.06 because I had 1 more credit hour in the A category than the C. For a while before the curves, I thought I was screwed though because I did poorly on my exams.
