Subject: wouldn't it be awesome if BUNGiE referenced us in Destiny?

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

People who affect this community greatly deserve call outs. Some of the people at Rooster Teeth for instance. So unless you really did something completely awesome or died, your not getting thanked outside of the general community call out. Seriously, why would Bungie choose to honor people who just trolled on the off topic forum of their website?

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

I think it would be hilarious if Bungie referenced notorious members instead of other people here.

If you reference some upstanding community members, some people will complain. If you reference a universally-hated member, it'll be looked at as funny.

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

Haven't you heard? The main antagonist is going to be evilcam. No, not a character named evilcam. Real evilcam. Every single person who plays Destiny will have to fight off evilcam as he tries to stab the player with a broken beer bottle.

Good luck.

A simple life.

We were in Reach.
Doesn't single out specific users but yeah...

The only user that has been mentioned in a game (As far as I know) was BerserkerBarage on Halo 3 as an Easter egg.

Real account.

Join me as we make new friends from different communities!

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

because it's people like them who bring entertainment to this site

Protip: Honoring people that do what they can to sabotage the community is generally not a good thing.
Twist: OP is a John Cena.

  • 12.26.2012 9:00 PM PDT

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

The thing is too, users like John Cena aren't really famous and aren't nor have made any effort to be part of the community, I think the entire shock site spamming was retarded.

Happy hunting.

I'm confused as to why you used those names as examples.

But sure, wouldn't hurt.

Just drink a beer and everything will be ok

If anything, I'd prefer generality over specificity. Because singling people out, unless they are obviously worthy, leads to the feeling of exclusion of others.

But I trust that if Bungie has something planned, it will be respectful and appropriate.

As it is, no one should get their hopes up; all we're likely to get, and all we deserve, is a "thank you" to the community as a whole in the end credits.

Hopes are contractually dashed, to quote;
1) "The games cannot contain any hidden content that would modify their rating, regardless of whether or not such content is programmed to be accessible or inaccessible to the player"
So no non-Activision approved easter eggs or credit.

2) "Promotion and player management to be directed only through the official Activision sponsored portal"
So no bungie.net (Activision.net maybe?)

But on the upside - there is a reference to me, in this picture you can see Godlike standing next to the star wars comm foot soldier. The three main Destiny protagonists name him 'Godlike one' following a conversation in which they agree that his real name cannot be pronounced.

  • 12.27.2012 5:17 AM PDT

They shouldn't reference one or two people only, they should reference the community.

  • 12.27.2012 5:49 AM PDT

Progo, Shrew, Chryso, all are the same.

If they did something like that, like a huge wall with the names of hundreds of us on it, that would be amazing.
But how would they determine whose names are on it?

I think the determining factor would be activity throughout the darkness, of course this idea has come up before, but it's an entertaining though...

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

My thoughts exactly.

Dear tomorrow, Find some sensibility, Respond to emotion.
Dear Politician, Define sagacity,
All chances of survival are beginning to diminish.
Comedy is no excuse for our own blasphemies.
Mass media, Mass pessimism, Mass Denial.
My television tells me to panic, but I don't think I'll listen.
The apathetic force us to persevere, with their backwards priorities.

How about the difficulties are:

n00b - You must be new here...
Hero - Designed for experienced players.
Legend - Much honor and prestige must be yours to pass this challenge.
Myth - Surely none exist that can overcome these hardships.

The difficulty names are obviously references to Bungie.net "rankings".

Pretty much this, my appreciation for Bungie is already there when they make their awesome games.

I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

Bungie should put my face on the front cover of Destiny. That'd be awesome.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Great idea, reference the 2 biggest trolls and grievences to the community in the game, where it should be showcasing the awesomeness of the community, lets showcase the bastards who make this place frustrating.

Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

There should be a Mustashe Bomb somewhere in the game, IMO.
