I think it is ridiculous that people think or want him to be deported. Instead, I simply emailed CNN complaining about Piers' interview style.
Sure, it probably won't have any effect, but my voice will be heard, dammit.
As a person who works in the media, let me tell you what happens.
The letter is read by the head of programming, laughed at, and then filed away in a public file, never to be read again, unless read during an FCC inspection.
Why would they want to fire/deport their employee when he's getting the station so much publicity? If it was negative publicity from a scandal or something, sure, they'd drop him like a rock. But it's publicity in a sense that there isn't a big problem over.
He used freedom of speech, and people aren't liking it. People need to learn something.
Adapt.
