Just try and stay away from the South in general during the wet seasons.

Not some cultural thing, it's just -blam!- miserable when the weather rolls in.

Please don't hype for games...
They'll just fall short of your expectations and you'll complain for months.

Colorado is the only good state.
If you are planning on coming here this time of year, you should definitely go skiing for a couple of days.

Octavia is best pony.

My advice would be to avoid any place in the south, with the possible exception of Nevada and Texas. Nevada because Vegas, Texas because the best (and biggest) barbecue and steak in the world are worth braving gun-toting racists.

Eh, they're not all that bad. Just stay away from the boonies, you'll be fine.

Same with most of the South, really. You're kinda short-sighted.

Maybe. It depends on whether you're white or not. I live in the South, and it's painful. It does vary, and some places are better than others, but I prefer northern states more.

I live in south Georgia, and the three most popular guys at my high school were African. Like, not even just black, actually African. From Côte d'Ivorie.

There is a certain point of tolerance that should never be reached.

LOL at the people in this thread who are scared of the south.

Tennessee is beautiful, and if you're looking for a quiet place to relax, this is it.

Of course, this is more of a place to live than it is a place to visit.

I hate MLP. It is cancerous and pretty stupid to see men watching a show for girls. They can deny the truth but the truth shall prevail!

Those are good places to go.

I'd recommend the national parks in the mid west. Also California seems nice, I've never been their though. If you want to visit a city, NYC is always fun.

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

Stick with the East Coast. It's where this country was founded, so there's alot of cool things to check out. Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and DC are all must-see if you're over here and have the time/money to check them out.

California. We got a little bit off everything. Rolling hills, valleys, mountains, snow, deserts, beaches, cities, and more.

And for god's sake, if the city you're in has one, use the metro.

Seriously, it's not nearly as bad as the traffic.

Wake me, when you need me.

Start with southern California then drive your way up state making your way towards Oregon. Visit Oregon, drive through it, then continue to Washington.

These 3 states master race.

I am assuming direct control.

I love how the northerners are hating on the south for being racist and shortsighted. Notice how no southerners said anything bad about them? That's the difference, people are very nice in the south, even if they're country folk, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I'm from Texas, and my family is Hispanic and I've never had issues with racism, and neither have my black friends.

OP, if you like scenery and history, the river walk in San Antonio is wonderful, and if you like parties travel over to Austin. Houston has a ton of museums and has the NASA center if you happen to like technology. Smaller towns in North Texas have a ton of Native American history which is unique to tap into. Remember, if you're going to visit the US, try and hit every region because as a nation we're pretty diverse in terms of culture in each state.

In all fairness, we can be shortsighted at times. But I like to think that's just a fact of life; everyone's shortsighted at one point or another.

If someone hasn't already suggested it, visit Arizona if nothing else but for the Grande Canyon. Worth the visit.
