Subject: How do you think Halo 6 should end?

Here is my desire, time to end the reclaimer trilogy in a big way:

Master Chief dies at the end. He's gone rogue and the Arbiter/Noble 7 have to put him down.

He hasn't gone ANCIENT EVIL, merely rogue from age and accumulated trauma leading to a bitter end. At the end he sees how far he has fallen, more twisted machine than human. And you the player must manually commit the coupe de grace to end him.

I think John should wake up when he is 11 years old and say, wow that's a crazy dream.

I really don't understand why I have a signature.

It was a dream the whole time.

John getting killed by the arbiter.

Am I the only one who wants to see him retire? After all he's been through I think he deserves a good rest.

His ass gets destroyed by the Arbiter.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

No, you aren't the only one.
After living a lifetime in war, MC should get peace.

So you like my idea? Well at least somewhat then.

Chief should die by using one of the Halos to save humanity from the Flood. He should be in the same situation as the Didact was.

+1 because I laughed like an idiot.

And guys, you're forgetting that now all Elites now have herpes or some weird infection going on, and if the Arbiter made an appearance, chances are he would look like crap.

*scoots in closer*

I hate you

Cortana and Chief get married and live happily ever after.

Chief getting a Scarab Gun and then he shoots it up into the air for 10 hours with Guile's Theme playing in the background.

I really can't think of a way to top Halo 3's ending with the whole Halo Array actually being triggered (albeit dumbed down).

The activation of a full Halo Array would suit the series just fine, and with Shield Worlds there it would allow for the universe to continue I guess.

Unto the Fray we go

John retires from military service after proclaiming he's getting a bit old for future acts of badassery like the previous games.

then it cuts to later, John has no armor on him whatsoever, only normal clothes, while he watches the sunset from the balcony his new home drinking a glass of whiskey. He seems to be adjusting a little better than his other former spartan cohorts, mind I said A LITTLE. His armor is donated to a museum and then, he cracks a smile.

That simply doesn't suit Halo games at all.

Corny endings are off the table when it comes to Halo. I strongly doubt Chief will smile at the end.

Yes, I AM just that awesome.

Either he dies epicly, or he retires.

  • 12.26.2012 6:07 PM PDT

Halo 6 shouldn't even begin.

I suppose. I guess it's just my desire to not see any other important character in the Halo series to die off for some emotional reason.

I had a dozen other ideas, that was just one of them. Honestly if chief died I would quietly break down and cry. My heart was broken when Cortana died so I don't wanna see Chief go.

I guess I'll just have to accept it, Chief and Company mean a great emotional deal to me (not that I'll say why) and to see them just go would be like losing my parents....if my parents actually loved me.

Yeah, something like the Halo 3 ending but with all of them being activated, but it should be really emotional, with Chief seeing things from the first trilogy and this one before he activates it.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I don't see there being a happy ending to Halo, there is no idyllic utopia for any of the races (albeit the Flood). There's no place for John to live in the world he protects, that'd be a horrific end for such a character. No, I think John will bow out with some tremendous, symbolic act of self-sacrifice.

It may well be that humanity cannot defeat the Precursors and John ends up firing the Halos, or rather he manages to sacrifice himself so humanity can attain the Mantle and fulfil the Librarian's plan.

Personally, I want to see John die. I think it's the only satisfying way to bring finality and closure to his story without leaving an open door for ANOTHER trilogy. Halo 6 should be his end.
