If anyone's played this game than y'all know that there's two campaigns, which do you like better? the War of the Ring or Rise of Sauron?

Personally I like the second, it's based on the theory that Frodo kept the ring for himself.

It follows the story of berethor and his companions.

berethor is tasked with finding boromir and assisting him in getting the ring to gondor, unfortunately it doesn't go to plan. You make your way through many of the locations of the movies, following in the steps of the fellowship, and eventually going your own way.

also the boss fight half way through the game will blow your mind.

I'll order it on Amazon, do you know if it's backwards compatible?

speaking of which, BFME2 has an easter egg in it. berethor is the first default custom hero.

I wish that game wouldn't have had it's servers shut down. It was actually pretty fun to play online with friends.

War of The Ring was so good.

I remember when it came out and my friend and I argued about which box art we were going to choose.

I did not like the Third Age too much. And War in the North was pretty wretched. Battle for Middle Earth was, I thought, terrible. The three PS2 hack and slash games that follow the movies are fun, if not repetitive. And The Hobbit for PS2 was cute, zelda-esque.

Those are the only ones I have played.

ha! Yeah, you could either get an orc holding an elf head, or an elf holding an orc head. They were brutal.
