Evolution is the reason you need a new flu vaccination every year.

Lolno

Flu is the reason we get flu vaccines every year.

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.

My shit bacteria takes offense to that comparison.

Well actually it's kind of both, the flu virus mutates pretty quickly and we need a new vaccine to combat the new strains every year.

If you're a zombie and you know it, bite your friends.

The Flood Theory of Deterioration: q(p)=(qi)e^(-p/r)

Where q(p) is the quality of the thread as a function of p posts, (qi) is the inital quality of the first post, p is the amount of posts and r is the e-peen of the original poster.

Posting this again, since it actually makes a decent point.

damn Poe's Law, makes it hard considering the amount of scientifically ignorant people on the Flood

Currently studying Computer Science & Software engineering. Hope to work on mobile devices of the future! When a certain game's credits roll, look out for my name! ;)

You will -blam!- bricks when you see what game it is! =)

Look at the flood, now look at normal people.

See, we have yet to get to their level.

/evoluation is real.

Given that evolution is anything but a proven fact, I am going to quote probably the only logical line spewed forth from the star child's mouth at the end of Mass Effect 3: "Your belief is not required."

I have always thought that evolution makes a lot of sense, plus there is a lot of evidence behind it. So while I am slowly leaning towards evolution, I find that no matter what I think of it, nothing in my life will be any different. So that holds me back from wanting to endure the long process of changing my beliefs.

Many facts about evolution are still unresolvable:
Life forms between ape and man should still live if they were genetically superior to monkeys.

There is no such thing as "genetic superiority" when it comes to inferring a species as a whole. The idea of evolution is variation within a species, and that specific organisms within the population who have some sort of characteristic as part of their genome which will help them survive come some sort of change to the external environment. Hence, said genomic characteristics can be passed on to future generations, leading to genotypic and possibly phenotypic change then there once was.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

I do, yes. Though I'm not closed off to the thought that perhaps it was guided by divine intervention.

It's not a question of whether or not I believe in evolution. Asking someone if he believes in evolution is equivalent to asking him if he believes in gravity. You either accept scientific fact or you don't. Belief doesn't factor in.

Gravity is more easily seen, Evolution takes a long time and so people may not see the long journey of species from one form to the next.

One can only see the effects of gravity, not gravity itself. Alas that the effects of evolution take longer to be visible, but there's still quite literal mountains of evidence for it.

Evolution isn't ageing, it's not changes of a single organism over time, but changes between generations over time. Oh and organisms that have very short generations like flies can relatively easily be seen to evolve in just a matter of months because of the very short generations. Therefore it can be seen, has been proven and therefore fact.

Time flies like an arrow; fruits flies like a banana.

I do, yes, and I consider it to be an incredibly interesting topic.

However, the theory of evolution has nothing to do with any theory on the origin of life: it only touches on the origin of the diversity of life after it originated.

I think that apes turning in to humans is silly.

Apes didn't turn into humans.

Humans and Apes have a common ancestor.
The missing link?!?!?! :O

I found it!

Topic: Yes. There's no reason why I shouldn't accept it. If you don't accept in evolution you might as well not accept gravity. There's a bacteria that eats nylon. That's proof right there about evolution. Nylon is a synthetic material that got created in 1935. Which means it didn't get created in nature.

*Noticed how I said Scientific with the Theory. The last time I just typed theory thinking everyone would know what I mean and The Flood went full retard and attacked me. You guys are really immature.

Its called semantics, there is a major difference between the two.

What? Humans are apes. We have a common ancestor with all apes, of course, and monkeys too, but those of apes are a lot nearer. 6 million years for the Pan genus, chimps and bonobo's, I believe.

Recon Number 54 -
If they are still looking, then while holding the snarl, I let drool start to drip from my mouth, I stand, curl my fingers into claws and with a hunched over crouch, I then make slow and deliberate steps towards them. When I get close enough, I let them hear my agonized and gasping growls and then, if they continue to stare, when I get within arm's reach? I kiss them on the nose, and run away giggling.

You can either Accept a scientific fact or you can pretend it isn't so.

It isn't a matter of believing in it or not.

You don't Believe in gravity, you accept it.
