It is very dark, and you are likely to be eaten by a Grue.

Doesn't really matter if you don't believe in evolution...
Not believing in it doesn't make it any less true, it just makes you more ridiculous.

EDIT:

Mines mixed. I do believe in evolution, but I also believe the bible. Even though a priest estimated the earths age to be around 6000 years old based on events in the bible, keep in mind that god put it into terms that humans could understand. They more than likely wouldn't have understood that the earth was 4.5 Billion years old. Its the same deal with creating life as we know it in six days. He more than likely didn't, and it probably happened in a several billion year time span. Again, he put it into terms man could understand.

But that's just my two cents.

2: Most cockroaches are killed, but by chance, a small portion of the cockroach population has gained a genetic mutation which makes them immune to the pesticide. As more non-immune cockroaches are killed off, the gene pool of the cockroaches become almost predominantly immune to the pesticide. The cockroaches have evolved in an otherwise lethal environment so that they can survive. Extend this process through millions of years, and you can get radically different life forms, based on the course that evolution has taken them on.

Excellent example.

Proof of people who have no understanding of evolution but try to argue like they do.

Proof of people who have no understanding of evolution by try to show they do like attacking others who actually do by saying they don't.

I hate to bring this up, but your bible doesn't actually say the Earth is 6000 years old. That number was brought up by a priest who calculated the age of the Earth through the timeline of events which occurred in the bible.

Hm. Didn't know that.

I'm quoting this for the sheer amount of fail and stupidity in this post.

As am I. Since you claim the people in this thread don't know what they're talking about, how about trying to explain why they're view of evolution is wrong, and not trying to make a poorly thought out insult because you have no counter argument.

That's actually impossible to do.

Some priest did it, through calculations and shizz, and that number stuck.

It's an estimate. It's based on the lifetimes of the people documented in the bible, I believe.

No reason too. I could address every false post in this thread, but it wouldn't be any more valid than what I already said.
That's a shame. I was legitimately looking forward to learning something new.

Yes it would. Claiming that everyone is wrong and demonstrating that everyone is wrong are two very different things.

If you read the bible you would know its impossible, because time is a riddle in the bible. Its an assumption most likely.

It was calculated back when most people saw the bible as 100% literal and fact, with no metaphors or riddles.

Besides, it was done by a priest. Priests have most likely read the bible.

Hey, uh, if you like vs threads, then check out this little group right here, if you have the time. It's pretty fun, just hop right in.

Yes.

I hate people who assume evolution is always intertwined with natural selection, though.

It all varies. Each denomination interprets everything differently, and it would be stupid to take everything in the bible literally.

You do realise that "The Theory of Evolution" refers to the Darwinian set of ideas, and that it is all but an abbreviation for "The Theory of Evolution by means of natural selection," right?
