no it's "its got to go" you wouldn't say the "it is got to go" would you?

It's okay Connor. I'm a Doctor. You don't have to lie to me.

I guess I meant to say Halo 2 in general is point and shoot while chucking grenades across the map.

Sure you did. Now, how come even though it was just a point and shoot type game (all Halos considered) you managed to be so bad at them?

How do you know I'm bad at them? and which Halo games specifically?

As if I need to explain... And any of them. They all have the same core mechanics. So if Halo 2 was as easy as just pointing and shooting, then by your logic, they are all just as easy.

Well, yes, you do need to explain otherwise I'm just going to assume you don't know what you're talking about. no proof = nobody believing you.

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

I have died as a result of my self-destructive habits, and my funeral ceremony is now underway.

This is funny. Watching you halo 2 fanboys lose your -blam!-. Ill tell you the truth. You're all nostalgic and living in the past. Things change, get over it and stop crying.
I'm pretty indifferent about Halo 2, and let me tell you, out of all the people in this thread, you seem to be losing your -blam!- the most.

And let me tell you Im only saying the truth. Im perfectly calm right now. Had a nice christmas, for what reason would I be mad?
*Glances at your most recent posts*

Clearly you are upset or have some sort of Vendetta against competitive players.

Ill say it again. Im not mad. You ignore the truth so you can call me out and say Im mad. Im not. Halo 2 fans really are nostalgic. If halo 2 went up online again it would never have that same magic feeling it had when you played it during its release.
Your truth is based on pure spectulation and is entirely irrelevant to this discussion. The OP is asking why modern Halo can't be more like Halo 2, that can occur without it being an exact clone of Halo 2. Halo 4 has moved from Halo's foundation in a variety of areas, and makes it harder to create a competitive experience with it.

I don't really need to go beyond your basic diction to tell you're holding something against Halo 2/competitive players.

I mean, "nerds?" I'd have to be retarded not to catch that.

Real account.

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

You don't start one football team in their opponent's endzone while the other team starts on third down.

I find it fascinating that Halo1 was praised because it simplified FPS games by only allowing you to have 2 guns, limited ammo, limited grenades and the idea that everyone starts equal and if your shields are down one shot in the head will do you.

As Halo has changed that basic premise has been convoluted and become bloated by extra things. Equipment probably started it, then AAs, and then the amazing pointless game-destroying bloat that we see in H4.

AAs, specs, armor mods, tactical packages, support upgrades...... which are then roped down by game-crippling rules like no grenade pickups, no ammo on maps, ordinance drops, CTF.

What an unfocused and confusing game.

And its like I said(How many times have I posted this sentence?), even if it does that, you'll never have that awesome feeling you felt while playing halo 2 in its golden age. Why? Because nostalgia.
You're right, and I respect your opinion.

Its really broken actually. The lack of map weapon spawns and lack of respawning power weapons causes maps to stagnate.

Hmmm..... I'm not wholly convinced by this. On one hand I found CEA to be an absolute farce, an absolute shameless money-grabbing joke by 343. On the other hand..... if a new Halo game were made that stripped the game back to its core Halo 1 roots then I would buy it and I would enjoy it. I imagine commercially doing something like this would be suicidal and I expect it to never happen.....

....but one can hope.

well i mean, yeah a few things are there to ruin its potential. but its kind of over reacting when people talk like its to far gone to be fixed. i would enjoy even infinity slayer if it wasnt for the boltshot and broken ordinance
