They don't think it be like it is...

But it do.

130$ for a nostromo? Heeeeell nah.

Who the hell do you think I am?

Razer products are overpriced and crappy anyway. They have like two good mice.

My completed build!

Thoughts?

Good, that's pretty much run everything at 30-60FPS.

It's primary purpose is CAD and Revit, so gaming is secondary. A nice plus though. I'm definitely gonna game on it.

You can max out any game.

I realize that, but it's still a secondary purpose. lol

Razer announces a mechanical version of their Nostromo for the same price as a full mechanical keyboard, $130.

As well as an updated Razer Onza priced at $80, or $70 is you own an Onza.

Hmm... here's to hoping the Nostromo goes down in price after this.

Would I be bottlenecking my system if I got a GTX 680 to go along with my AMD FX 4100 Quad Core @ 3.60 GhZ? I also have 8 GB RAM, and a GTX 560 TI GPU ATM. With a 850W PSU

The bulldozer CPUs don't perform well with games, but it still wouldn't be the worst. If you wanted to upgrade you would want a 8320 or 6300.

And don't get a 680, you would get a much better price:performance ratio out of a 7970 or a 670 FTW. But the 7970 outperforms even the 680 and it's $400.

Some games have issues with ATI cards, like RAGE. And, in reality, most games are better optimized for NVIDIA cards.

Not really, at all... Plenty of games will possibly have trouble with NVIDIA cards too. I have no idea where you're getting this from.

No. All PSUs are basically the same size, I've seen pretty long ones, like the EVGA NOVA something rather that's 1500W. Otherwise any standard PSU can fit in any case.

I've tried out the Nostromo, and despite having membrane keys, they are very pleasing to depress. You might have some minor ergo issues but it's definitely worth the price, even now.

Dear God, I own four mechanical keyboards now (Not pictured, 6Gv2 with MX Blacks).

And yes, I did clean my dust filters after I took that pic.

Why would you need 4? You could have bought a graphics card at the price of 3 good ones or several dozen games.

I don't think you can buy a decent GPU for $50.

Well actually, I had a hard time fitting it. The modular cables were a real pain.

For somebody planing a video-editing workstation (I plan on doing highly advanced 3D visual effects in college since that's what I'm studying) is the extra price worth it? Keep in mind I got an i7-3770k for only about $130 so I have an extra $200 I can use or just save.

From the moment Bob's birth-cord was cut, every girl's hymen has belonged to him.

There must have been a dildo in that Wii control they found
For when they shoved it up his ass, he began to walk around, aaand
Chad Warden the fanboy, was as ABAP as can be
But the -blam!-es say, that he was mad -blam!-, and talked -blam!- on PS3

Jake, just give up.

You're only posting here because Salty is. You're an idiot. You're using a tiny monitor, and a crappy computer your grandma had to give you because you cried when your laptop broke.

Leave now.

They were on sale from $75 to $60, and I used a combo deal to get them down to $20 each. Sadly, I was left with two $5 Prescott CPU's, but I found a use for them.

The extra price for what, the 680 over the 670 or 7970? No. If you're doing CUDA work the 670 will be perfect.

The modular cables were a pain? The whole reason to get a modular PSU is so you don't have to deal with the clutter of a non-modular one.

Oh, then yes. The 660ti has a pretty small memory bus for the power it offers, so I'd recommend the 670 over it if you have the money for it. If you were spending $300 on a video card you would want the 7950 anyway.
