Ok, i did Prime93(or something test) and it hit 54C, but it said only went to 3.4Ghz. I might want to look into that

GPU went to 70C in Crysis2 for bout 10 minutes

Fluffy feel free to pm me. Think you should add a monitor section. Had some interesting experiences that I'm sure would benefit people so they don't waste their time or money. But I have my own gaming rig that I built and I can answer questions if anybody has any.

That's a really good guide. I would just advise that specifically for gaming rigs you should use the hdmi connection for your monitor. VGA/DVI look like -blam!-. I also wouldn't recommend Samsung as shocking as that might sound. Had a $400 Samsung monitor and found out that Samsung used cheap capacitors in the last couple of years and actually got sued because of it and lost. But because of loopholes, I had to trash it. I would recommend this monitor Just bought it last week and I can say it looks amazing and is pretty cheap for the response time along with having a hdmi connection in the back.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the monitor I linked to is really nice for a 2 or 3 way set up because of the bezel width, price etc...

Why does nobody but myself use TV's as monitors? Just personal preference? I thought it was a nice alternative to buying a new monitor...

EDIT: So there is this line of green pixels going down the side of my TV...you'd never notice it unless you were either looking at a blank white screen or if I pointed it it, but that is referred to as a stuck pixel right? Any idea how to fix it?

I did with my old Samsung but you can find really nice monitors for a lot cheaper not to mention I have a 60 inch TV now so no point in watching TV on a 21 inch screen.

Posted by: Arcane PhoenixDVI has the same image quality as HDMI, just lacking in sound. Once thing that DVI does have over HDMI is that it supports 1440p, which HDMI doesn't. Eventually, they'll both be replaced with display port.

Here's what I suggest:

Below $130 - Acer 1080p or non-Acer sub 1080p.
$130-$200 - ASUS 1080p VS series.
$250-$380 - Yamakasi Catleap 1440p ISP
$400 - BenQ 120 Hz 1080p

Bastion, Chivalry, CS: GO, Fallouts, Kotor, Torchlight 2.

Any of those sound good?

I may have gone with Torchlight if it wasn't so similar to Diablo. I'm watching a video on chivalry...

I was originally thinking about Crysis because I haven't played the full game yet.

Holy sweet jesus yes I am buying Chivalry.

TL2 is very similar to Diablo, but because it doesn't rely on the auction house, they can have more OP things and not care. It also has mod support that could rival Minecraft.

Chivalry is fun, but you need to have some friends to play it with. Criken made a video of it. Luckily for you, many of my friends and I have it. It goes on sale for $12.50 often.

Crysis is a great game on its first go, but it doesn't exactly have replayability.

cstrengh= 9001 or at least that's what I remember

My replayability is the difficulty of beating enemies by only spawning boats and punching the boats into the enemies with your newly acquired super strength

Another monitor to consider for around $400 would be this 27" 1440p monitor, and you get the benefit of the direct warranty from Monoprice. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=113&cp _id=11307&cs_id=1130703&p_id=9579&seq=1&forma t=2

I'm interested as to why you spend so much on 8GB of RAM, $130 for a 650W 80+ Bronze PSU, a $350 1080p monitor, and $250 on W7.

They aren't bad parts, but for $1700 you probably could have gotten a lot more.

I didn't spend that much, but that's build, I paid around 1500$ for it.
I don't know why the parts are more expensive their rather in my local PC lab...so yeah. Then again, I got Windows 7 with my CPU.

As long as you enjoy your build, there's nothing wrong with that. I would have gotten a different case, psu, and monitor, but I don't know how that monitor performs.

I like the RAM, although I would rather get twice the amount in non-LED form. If I had some spare money, I might get a set for the lolz.

Wow! Flipping the PSU leaves my GPU 6*C cooler when under load on Crysis.
