Who the hell do you think I am?

Alright guys, just picked up a G400 and a cheap desk mic. I'll probably return it and buy a different one, but this'll do for now. My next buy though, is a good keyboard. I'm probably gonna get a mechanical one, and IIRC, brown keys are best for gaming and typing, correct? So, what keyboards would you guys recommend then.
I love the brown switches, but I have them on my Filco and I've only used the Blue and Black switches once at Microcenter. The black switches were too heavy for me, and the blue switches were alright.

How much do you want to spend?

Good old hypocrisy, what humanity does best.

Once I've built this I'll finally be able to play the 162 games I have on Steam, I can play only a few on my laptop. It's kinda depressing looking at the current sales and not wanting to buy anything because I pretty much have it all already. Though it's probably less than 162 because of expansions and such.

Yeah, it's weird that it does that. My profile page lists 93 games, but the number listed on my Library page clearly says 29.

I've challenged my beliefs. What is the book about?

I find that this is usually untrue. If religious people honestly, diligently and intelligently challenged their beliefs, there would be no religious people.

Where else would you get camo keyboards?

Is that a serious question?

Amazon.

Good. Also OP this website is now the preferred logical increments guide from Falcon. I'd put this in the OP in place of or with the image.

Also do I need the cooler if I'm not overclocking? I plan to but I don't think I'll initially need to overclock.
I will, although I disagree with a lot of his parts. He considers Seagates worthy of an "enthusiast" build and doesn't even mention the x79 chipset.

For the cooler, only omit one if you cannot afford it. If you have $20, definitely pick up the 212 EVO.

I already talked to you on Steam, but I'll post my experiences with all of the switches:

Blacks - Just avoid these.
Blues - Only for typing.
Browns - Better for typing than gaming. The tactile bump prevents double tapping and makes subtle movements slightly more difficult.
Reds - Perfect for both as long as you understand where the actuation point is.

My suggestion.

That's DLC.

What should I upgrade first

i3 2120

or

HD 6870
The GPU if you want more FPS. The CPU if you want better multi-tasking / high resource demanding programs.

Im looking at this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168242362 95

any good? Sorry no hyperlink, im on my phone.
It's not that much better than their VS series. You could get an Ultrasharp for that price, which is an ISP monitor.

Good old hypocrisy, what humanity does best.

My build's going to come to about £1000 ($1600 though this all includes 20% VAT tax on the goods which you don't have to pay in America) which ain't that bad, I think, for what I'm getting.

I bought two of those before the combo went out of stock.

One keyboard goes to my grandpa.
One keyboard goes to my ex-gf.
And my best friend and I are going to make friendship necklaces with the CPU's.

I'll post the same thing I posted on the other PC thread.

"I have a question.

Someone in customer service at Fry's said that the AMD Radeon HD 7850 is primarily for business purposes. Is that true? Anandtech says that it performs pretty well with games like Crysis and Dirt 3. Also, why do almost all of the gaming computers there have $50 gaming cards? I thought that the gaming cards needed to be of higher quality for a gaming computer."

Someone said this thread was more active so...

Business purposes? LOL

7850 is clearly for gaming. Professional AMD cards are the FirePro cards which are not for gaming.

That's what my parents said happened.

I asked for parts for a gaming computer for Christmas (yes I'm spoiled) but my parents thought I couldn't do it so they bought me a pre-built gaming computer. I got a GT 630 which I do not think is a good graphics card at all. Besides that, excellent specs on the computer...I think it's overdone, actually. It's an i7 and I think that all you need is an i5 (actually I read that all you need is an i3, but that future games will take advantage of a quad-core processor). It has 12GB of RAM and I think all you need is 8GB of RAM.

I was fairly confident in my build but aren't professionals building these pre-built computers? I must be wrong, right?

Professionals are, but they know that the consumer only cares about having an i7.

How does that make you spoiled? I think that's how most of us here got our parts.
