So what you are saying is that are a better human being by default if you just earn more money?

Why do you even care? Being a better person is completely irrelevant to the discussion.
OP said are you "better" than average. So no, this is not irrelevant to the discussion.

That's pretty sick. I should get into banking god damn

Getting your foot in the door is the hard part. Especially with the industry cutting a lot of jobs.

Once you're in, in the basic analyst position you're fairly safe to work on your career. Layoffs and cuts generally fall in the middle of the paygrade rather than the bottom. Banks prefer to cut from the middle and bring lower people up within the company. Higher positions they headhunt from other banks.

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

He either worded it poorly, or really meant what I said.

But whatever, I don't want to derail this thread any further, if you feel I'm doing that.

Part of the reason I choose it, what with its 1% or less unemployment rate (as according to some link on Google).

I'm surprised it has any unemployment to be honest, the people that are unemployed are either unwilling or unable to move.

Heard it can be rough if you're not a single dude if you end up out on oil rigs and what not - spend a lot of time away from friends/family.

ooga booga boooh

Realistically? I hope to make around $65 000 or so as a teacher and part time tutor.

I suppose I have the benefit of not needing family or many friends to stay content then.

I can only please one person per day.

Today isn't your day.

Tomorrow isn't looking too good either.

Probably about 40k a year at max, even 20 years later, unless it goes up a bit to adjust for inflation etc.

Though the benefits I might get more than make up for it.
