No. Even though it's not a 5.0, the 4.6 V8 is still pretty powerful. Surprisingly, it's been taken pretty good care of.
It's the first car I've ever bought on my own, and I've dropped a lot of money into it so I'd appreciate it if you stop dissing it. Besides, you've never seen it nor have you drove it, so how the hell would you know?
They dyno 220 horespower to the wheels stock, did not respond well to modifications, and had numerous problems, both with parts breaking under only marginal modification or just plain stock. There are 2.0L non-turbocharged imports that can outperform that poor car, especially on a track with that terribad solid rear axle.
By comparison, the new GTs dyno 375 to the wheels. The fourth generation of Mustangs is a stain on the car's history and one Ford fans would love to forget existed.
