Version 1.0

Hubble
Hubble is an AI tool used for utilizing movement and direction in a 3-D space. Hubble can plot AI models onto a map and give them direction through enhanced graphical interpretation. This interpretation modifies the AI's location in a given environment.

Hubble Tools:

Navigation
Navigating in Hubble is a lot like operating a train set. You place tracks, build bridges, handle communications, manage railways, set speeds, measure distances and a whole lot more. There is not much of a difference when handling AI. Navigating the Hubble menu looks similar to what you are gazing at right now!

AI Models
3-D AI Models can be loaded into a map by Hubble. Models will only work if their Locator feature is enabled.

Boundaries
Boundaries are set by the player once the AI is placed into a map. These boundaries will dictate how far AI are allowed to travel in.

Locator
Hubble also utilizes a locator feature that acts much like a Turret. A turret that if enabled locates the subject and tracks them based on the radius set by the player.

Traits
The AI model contains trait values set by default. At any moment during Hubble mode the player can edit AI traits to enhance or diminish game-play.

Notes

Logic
This is like baking a cake you have to have the right recipe or else it won't work. First, you would have to have constructive movement. Constructive in a sense that executes tasks given by the user to the AI. Such as, offensive and defensive game play. Offensive game play would require the user to implement AI trails consistent with the maps construction and layout. After applying these motions in a certain location the AI should follow them. At intersections, jumps, loops, and whirls AI should turret around to get a good perspective of the landscape. Hubble will allow users to lay down movement schemes which allows the AI to take as a Hot Route in case of an emergency. Next would have to be defense, defense should play a lot like offense except it should play in the opposite manner. It should be able to backtrack all the steps laid out by Hubble and be played in the opposite direction.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

wut

That sounds hard to make

I dislike it because it sounds way too complicated. Sorry, OP.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

1. This seems like an advertisement.
2. How is this related to the Bungie.net community or Bungie.net website?
3. Elaborate.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I am guessing that it is some gaming middleware that the OP is recommending. Odd, but compared to some of the "here's what Bungie should do with their game of which I know nothing", it's not all that out of the ordinary.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Are you suggesting this program be used in Bungie's next game?
That does sound cool.

Man of God. Fan of Bungie. Eater of many Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers.

I'd thought of this before. It'd be quite cool. I always imagined having a couple of hornets flying around sand trap bombing the ground while you play.

OK! I'm back sorry about the wait. I'm editing the current text so if your about to vote save for a moment and I will update this post.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

This is great for terrain avoidance, but it doesn't tackle the problem of decision making. When should they go over the hill, jump over this rock, or duck behind a wall. That's the tough part to develop.

Post is Updated go ahead and vote! If the motion has not properly been set by the player then Hubble will not follow the command. Hubble will conserve AI health if the function is looped into the process. So that being said If you record or paint a loop of movement then the AI should follow. However, if the AI has been given no data like roam for example then it will not be able to back track to a safe location. Once Hubble walks the AI into a radius set up by the player it could execute defensive commands, but if there are none given then it will not conserve its health.

Same, I think Bungie already figured it out a way to improve their AI. Have some faith on Bungie will ya?

I wouldn't worry about you being offended. I don't think that you are being understood.

Is this existing middleware or something that you've imagined and in your imagination, it is the most awesome thing ever?

Well yeah it isn't real yet, but I will be a programmer in the future and will hopefully develop this idea later on. Plus this is only my 1.0 version...so there is moar to come buddy!
