Some day it will be popular and then I can be like totally the whole thing.

"Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men."

Get at me

Hayabusa armor. Me and a friend actually figured out how and got the armor about a week before it appeared online. I actually play Ninja Gaiden and DOA and all the little kids just ruined it for me. THAT WAS MY ARMOR DAMNIT!

Polo, back in middle school I pretty much wore only polo clothes while everyone else wore those ghey brands like Hollister/Abercrombie etc. But nowadays EVERYONE wears polo.

I try to do this, but in Halo 4 everyone and their grandmother has a weapon that makes the mongoose explode to the touch, so its been a little nonviable, though very gratifying when I'm successful.

I got into minecraft back when it was in alpha, that might be too late though.
This, too. Sure, it's not InfDev, but hey, it works.
Also, I feel cool because I was into Doctor Who as an American before it caught on here. I actually got into it because I read a thread here on the Flood and a bunch of the British members were talking Doctor Who, and, specifically, the episode Blink, which I think had just come on. So, yeah, not even that early on that, but I knew about it way before anyone else where I live did XD

hmm I can't really think of something, most things i like now are already big or still small time compared to other forms of media

actually I guess Adventure time, my friend showed me the pre series bits like the actor when he dressed up as finn and ran around asking what time it was.

No one admits it, but everyone loves being the first on the train.

For me, it was Gravity Falls and The Catcher In The Rye.
Considering Catcher In the Rye was published over 60 years ago, it is hard to believe you liked it before it was popular.

I was going to say the same thing. Other Lives is one of my favorite bands.

metal gear solid
skate
deadrising
legend of zelda

Literally all of these were pretty much instantly popular.

Electronic music.

I mean its been big since the 90s in Europe and stuff, but has just recently gone mainstream here in the U.S.

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

The Catcher In The Rye.

Terrible book. Holden is the kind of kid I'd kick down the stairs and laugh at.

OT: Closest thing would be hating Halo 4. I generally don't like popular stuff/stuff that has potential to be popular.

The Goo Goo Dolls.

I fell in love with them the moment I heard Iris on the radio for the first time in 1998. I bought their album on cassette and listened to that song over and over again for so long. It's still my favorite song.

They're seriously one of the most famous bands that no one knows about. I can think of at least 15 songs they've had on the radio, and most people recognize them, but have no idea who the band is. So sad.

Mass Effect (fan before the first game was released in 2007)
The Elder Scrolls (after the launch of Morrowind in 2003)
Christopher Nolan's films (fan since Memento)
Game of Thrones (reader of the novel series since years before)

DayZ, I've owned Arma for a while and I downloaded the mod the week it came out with no prior knowledge of it before that day.
