Minecraft. I don't mean Flood popular though, I mean everyone popular. All my friends started noticing it about a year ago and I was like, b*tch please.

Disliking Halo 4.

lol ... yeah, who ever said bungie.net wasn't the officially sanctioned home of Microsoft and 343 HATE.

Wonder how many threads have been locked using that excuse.
(Perhaps if we say 'dislike' its all fine?)

-Avatar-

I work for the Department of Defense.

The first time I saw Gangnam style it had only 87 thousand views.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Gangnam style.

I saw it when it had about 150'000 views.

The only thing I can think of is Super Smash Bros. I thought of the concept as a little kid before it was even announced, and when it was announced I thought literally anything was possible.

Imported the game from Japan months before it came to the US and was the envy of many. Purin yo.

Call of Duty.

But the cancer consumed it after the third one...
This, so much so. I bet that no modern Call of Duty "fanboy" has ever heard of the first few installments.

Gangnam Style, I watch a lot of Korean Starcraft streams and heard it on there like 4 or so months before it was popular.

LOTR and sadly Twilight- read the books like 2-3 years before the movies came out.

Dubstep- I started listening to it 3 years ago, when electronic music wasn't known

Celo Green

The Elders Scrolls- started with Morrowind. All the new kids their first was Skyrim and that's all they rave about.

COD- I play the first one on PC all the way up to mw3.
Halo- I've started with H:CE when I was 7, most people these days their first Halo was H3.

Hmmm, I don't know what to say...

Does anyone else notice that once something becomes popular it almost always becomes ruined?

Luckily, I and only a very very select few know about this game series called Black & White developed by Lionhead Studios awhile back. But now, Peter Molyneux is making Godus, which is essentially something very similar. I hope that once it becomes popular, it won't be destroyed by everyone who knows about it.

i was into Doctor Who way before the revival came along.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

Gangnam style and the rap battle parody.

Though the morrow may be barren of promises, nothing shall forstall my return.

Before it became a fan favorite, I liked what became known as SWAT in Halo. My cousins and I used to play it all the time back in early Halo 2. Whenever 3 came out I invited people to custom games all the time and very few people ever said that they enjoyed it or had fun. As soon as it became a playlist everyone fell in love with it.

Also heard the trolololo song before it was known as that.

Folk music. Growing up, I got laughed at for liking Gaelic and Irish folk. Now, folk music is getting so much more popular.

I dunno, seems more like folk pop is getting popular. Actual folk is at about them same level it was before.
