I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

True enough, and in the case of the American Constitution it also relies on the basis of its formative works ... and in the State of Virginia one of those formative works was from Jefferson himself.

A key phrase which has already been used sucessfully by more than a few pharmaceutical companies (also quoted, not not as sucessfully so, by the current President).
But unlike you, I believe that 'the governments job' is to get re-elected ... by a bunch of fatties.
I think you've mistaken goal and role.
The governments role is to enforce the Constitution. The governments goal is to get reelected.
They should go about trying to achieve their goal by enforcing the constitution properly, but it's easier to pander and adjust the character of things. This is a fact, no matter what political party you affiliate yourself with.
