well it can affect a kid's social skills and self esteem, and kids are impressionable. They try to mimic their SO MLG HARDCORE idols and as a result think playing whatever FPS is on the market takes higher priority over everything else and will freak when their world is taken from them.

I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I wouldn't say they don't affect kids at all, on the grounds that I would never have bought all my Halo action figures if I never played the games.

An exception to that would be actions of violence or other bad things.
