I find it amazing that NO ONE mentioned Max Payne... most importantly the third installment... such a sad world we live in.

''Misanthropes have some admirable if paradoxical virtues. It is no exaggeration to say that we are among the nicest people you are likely to meet. Because good manners build sturdy walls, our distaste for intimacy makes us exceedingly cordial "ships that pass in the night." As long as you remain a stranger we will be your friend forever.''

''I want people to be sincere; a man of honor shouldn't speak a single word that doesn't come straight from his heart. ''

I miss those Dual 44's from MW2.
And Rafficas.

Dual Wielding tends to be a gimic in every game I can think of off the top of my head. It's either a straight up dominant strategy (who wouldn't want to double their damage output?), or it's made horrifically ineffective in an attempt to prevent it from being a dominant strategy, and even worse, the weapons that are dual wieldable become half weapons to compensate.

It's something that looks flashy in the movies and on paper, but it just doesn't translate well into the world of games I feel.

This. I've yet to see dual wielding done well in a video game.
Skyrim did a decent job by removing the ability to block while dual wielding, although it didn't really make much sense. It worked, IMO.

Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

I liked Halo 4 the best because you had the most dual wielding choices. The addition of both the Mauler and the Spiker were very fun to play with when dual wielding.

I gaze upon the stars and see the majesty that is the universe.

EGO mos bulla astrum.

Halo's duel wielding was terrible. Weapons are supposed to do double the damage with each other yet the damage was nerfed so any boost with the combined weapons was weak as hell. Plasma weapons especially were nerfed terribly individually.

I'm gonna say Call of Duty got it partly right. Say what you will but it did the job of effectively boosting firepower.
