Was there a particular part that you struggled with? How did you do in single variable Calculus?
I took it in HS, so it was much easier. At least at my college, single variable calulus was just about as easy as it was in highschool. The fact of the matter is once you have algebra down, Calculus is easy in comparison, it's mostly just algorithms and memorizing patterns afterall.
The difficulty with multivariable is simply wrapping your head around three dimensions instead of two, but once you do, everything is more or less the same, you're just adding an extra dimension.
What caused you to fail? Was it a particular test you did terrible on and you couldn't recover? A particular subject? I'm curious as a College Level Math Tutor, I could possibly offer some advice / suggestions.
I nailed the concepts down pretty easily, it wasn't that . Part of the blame was this website my teacher pushed on us. It was supposed to replace a textbook for our class. It turned out the owner of the website was the teacher himself and the website was kind of buggy. The problems we had to do on it took too long to do and you had to account for the computers answer sensitivity. So even if I did all the problems we had to do, it just wasn't enough practice. Come the final, I knew the concepts but I didn't rehearse enough so I messed up on 77% of the problems.
But the blame falls on me too, I should have taken the initiative and bought a normal textbook and did problems in it. There is nothing I can do I guess but retake the class and practice daily.
