Subject: Did the Extended Cut for Mass Effect 3 make the ending better?SPOILERS

So yeah did the Extended Cut make the Mass Effect 3 ending any better? I want to know if it's worth playing through again because the original ending completely sucked because your choices meant nothing you lose everytime no matter what. And yeah, I know this is pretty late.

A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal.

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

Supreme Dictator, Industrial Polluter, Megalomaniac, Corrupt Politician, Underhanded Reprobate, Rainforest Ravager, Puppy Kicker, Oil Spill Coordinator, Holiday Hater, and an Insurance Salesman.

This will vary severely from person to person.

I think the EC fixed the endings up pretty well.

They improved the feeling you have at the end, made it more a "win-theme", but ultimately it still sucks.

It has the same logic errors (some even worse than before), you still don't really get to know what happened with the characters and your choices still don't matter at all.

All they did was apply perfume to poop.
... frighting to see it works for a lot of people.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

All they did was apply perfume to poop.

Bobcast is paid in MILF blind dates.

It was better, but there was still some glaring plot holes.

Alright. I guess I will play through again but only because I love the trilogy.

Also, did anyone here actually like the normal Mass effect 3 ending?

Of course it did. There's only one way to go once you hit rock bottom. The extended ending could have been Shepard taking a dump and throwing it at the screen and it would have been better on the basis of at least being more honest.

Better? Yes.

Worthy end of the series? No, far from.

This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

They patched up some of the plot-holes and show what happened to the galaxy as a result of your end-game choice. The Reaper's motivation and logic remain the same though.

thousands of people complained, a few hundred thought it was ok.

Have a guess.

Yes. But I'm so tired of ME that I don't really care. I'm kind of just done with the series. It was good and all, but now it's just old.

Leviathan apparently makes the ending a bit more sensible giving credence to ME3 being a giant -blam!- you from Bioware.

I've played a lot of games over the years. I've certainly played games way worse than ME3 and none, not even the worst I've played (and that includes the likes of Superman '64 and Sonic '06), spat in my face like this game did.

Better, yes. Exactly how much better is debatable.

I'm all right with it, but I still want more Harbinger and for the war assets to actually do something. Sadly, this probably won't happen.

gogurt us just yogurt

I was very satisfied with it, yes. And I was in one of the first large waves of people to get active in protesting the original ending.

The whole "Shep lives with perfect ending" thing made me very happy.

Remember kids: when Uncle Delta tells you he has sweeties, he isn't lying.

Now get in the van.

The Black Chapter

If you expected Bioware to work for five years just on the ending, no. if you're reasonable and don't mind a 'he' dead' ending - sure.

True, even still i dont think the game deserves as much hate as it has gotten due to the ending. Up until that last 10 mins the game was fun and i personally loved it. And leviathan was a fairly good dlc gotta love that lore even though it would have been much better had it came out with the game and not months after.

It's worth reloading your save and watching the ending again and forming your own opinion on it.

Ending aside, I thought ME3 was an amazing game, so it's worth multiple playthroughs. Even though the overall outcome may not vary, there are still plenty of decisions and reactions to see throughout the game.

The first time (and only time) I beat ME3 I was so angry.

These two pictures basically sum it up.
This one

And this one

Oh it deserves it. Any developer slimy enough to make crucial content $10 Day 1 DLC, have an ending that's a giant middle finger to the player, admit no wrongdoing and then patch the ending, and then release more content to fix their screw up while charging money for it deserves what they get. The people at Bioware and EA made voluntary choices which have consequences. They weren't forced into that.

If we rate ME3 through an objective lens it's by no means a horrible video game. We can all agree there are worse games out there. What I would say though is those games aren't as offensive.

Ill give you that they did some questionable things, the prothean dlc was something that had me scratching my head. And the ending was a giant middle finger there is no arguing that. Even though i think it is more ea's doing then biowares when it came to that dlc though.
