This may just be gameplay mechanics, but there's certainly nothing reinforcing that SPARTANs can survive a shot from one of those beasts.

Precisely. Plus Halo Legends shows that an unshielded spartan dies from one needle round. Whereas Alcatraz can take a tank round to the chest.

How effectively would Alcatraz be able to see a camo'd Elite? Bear in mind their camo is perfect, the shimmer is a gameplay mechanic, as of Forward Unto Dawn.

^^And the Halo comics show a Spartan can tank 6 Hunter rounds directly with no damage. Halo 4 shows a Spartan can fall from orbit with no apparent damage.

He has nanovision, of that doesn't work he can counter cloak and confuse the elite

Elites have a motion sensor.

Don't you play like ALL of Crysis killing hundreds of squid aliens? And doesn't his armor do all sorts of -blam!- that puts regular power armor to shame?

Implying this is going to change anything.

If Al is walking at a casual stroll or slower, he's pretty much completely invisible to the motion tracker. Combine that with his own *camo, and the sangheili won't even know he's there if he doesn't want it to.

Edit for failure.

The Nanosuit has nanovision and the ability to tag enemies

Aliens that are already superior to the Covenant's ground forces...and they're only the scouts of the Ceph. We haven't actually seen their real military.

Yep, nanosuit puts Mjolnir to shame.

Are you sure they're superior to the Covenant? Covies have energy shields, brutes, etc etc

I know. I'm saying that the tracker would render camo less effective.

^^And no, that's a gameplay mechanic. Even the exact distance of the tracker is a gameplay mechanic. Other than that it exists, we don't know much canonical information about it.

Though overall Alcatraz would win if he stays at range, which I know he will. I was just asking what he'd do to deal with the Elite's camo.

Well I guess he would use nanovision

The Ceph's footsoldiers are already comparable to sangheili and their heavies can take about five times as much as a mgalekgolo. Their air vehicles take about a thousand rockets to put down, unlike the Phantoms the Covenant use which go down after a few tank rounds.

And the ones you see in-game aren't even their military.

No they aren't. Their most basic weapon--the pistol--can take your arm off in one shot. They have perfect activce camo, standard issue lightsaber-esque blades, plasma weaponry that seems more advanced then the Ceph's from what I've seen and more variety in the units they deploy.

I can't think of a single advantage the Ceph have over them.

I guess so. Unfortunately it doesn't seem we'll get to see them in Crysis 3. It looks to be more centred around CELL being the antagonists.

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

LMAO

Alright, that's fine. Their military might is superior to the Ceph's scouts. Great.

The Ceph's heavy units would probably decimate multiple covenant hunters before succumbing to plasma weaponry. Their pingers would outmatch any covie ground unit. And the giant Ceph hunters from Crysis 1 would outmatch a scarab

Their armor can be taken off with bullets. And they can't handle heat very well.

Bull-blam!-. You mean like that dropship that got gunned down by helicopters? Or those other ships that were destroyed by SAM turrets?

And the ones you see in-game aren't even their military.

First off, heavies don't have specific easily-accessed weak points like the Hunters, and they shrug off explosions that would kill a mgalekgolo outright.

Second, the ships seen in-game take many, many shots from a Swarm missile launcher to put down.

US Coast Guard prepares for massive rescue mission after Iranian fleet sinks off shore. Reports say a small thunderstorm caused most of the ships to simply...fall apart.

It certainly wouldn't be getting through Armor Mode, and that's if the sangheili even knows where he is.
