When I grow up I want to be bitter and spiteful.

shouldn't popularity contests be decided by popularity and not six users?

Don't worry. Hardly anyone voted and on the top threads were being used. Nobody voted in the threads at the bottom of the page.

All in all, just remember it's nothing more than a silly reward that means nothing.

It's funny that you of all people would say this after attempting to cheat in one of the polls.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

So, funny how all the winners were popular forum members and moderators. *Sigh*
This was worth every penny we paid for it.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

It is a shame polls make people mad if they don't like the results. I made sure to NOT vote for ANY AWARD. But I thought it was a conflict of interest. But this award thing went great and I am happy and feel the right people got the right stuff (I was surprised I won heroic member of the yer though). I think there maybe should of been more names but when it comes down to it, it has to be people you see here enough to justify why they should fit in what category. (Which is why I thought the lurker award was ironic).

And yet known ALTs join the group and and tried to alter voting results. It clearly mattered to some. But as burrito said, everybody was invited to nominate their friends and then vote for them. Everybody who was nominated made it to the voting round and the end results were posted.

Ultimately the awards were successful. We look forward to a bigger and brighter Awards this coming year.

What you guys should of done is made the group invite only and not allowed alts to join. I didn't see any poll manipulation. But with these kind of awards, it usually seems to go to people who are "known" because we all know them enough to give them an award.

We did. At first we were simply monitoring who joined. When known alts showed up in the feed we closed the doors but continued to monitor the join queue to make sure legit votors would not be effected.

That is good. But I watched all the threads and nothing looked fishy at all. Some awards worked for a few people, some had like 7-8 nominees. I thought you guys were very fair and not biased.

I don't see how that can be, I didn't vote for a single person nor asked anyone to vote for me or anyone else. Anything otherwise is pure coincidence.
