I'm not so good with advice...Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

Is there a way to change the text on a website? Not for everyone, just so i can make it say what i want it to.

What i want to do is change the text on my brothers schools website to play a prank on him. I dont want to change the actual website, just make it look like i did locally.

Yes, but it requires a bit of familiarity with CSS.

You would have to write a script and some CSS then inject it. Though, there is probably a browser extension which can help you with that.

Just use chrome of firefox. Right click and select inspect element. You can change any of the html.

Not really. It was just a general comment that one which does what you want could exist.

That will only persist until the next page load.

True, but if he just wants a screenshot or something very temporary it could work. If he wants it to persist he could then save the html to his computer with the "save page as" option on the right click menu.

I'm sure C:\path\to\file would be a dead giveaway.
