Varsity rower

I'm sure most of you have experienced the same strange feeling of becoming a man or women, and how it effects how you feel and think about everything.

I'm 17 right now, and have changed a lot even the last few years. The problem is, I don't like who I've evolved into. I used to have an extremely creative mind; I would let my imagination take me to places I had never experienced.

Now, everything is just boring and irritable. Rather than look at the good side of life, I instead look at the world as a negative thing.

I miss being a kid; I miss being myself.

I refuse to believe this good side of myself has gone down the drain. What can I do to bring it back?

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Sometimes I am tempted to quit gaming. I can no longer play without seeing ponyphags, horrendously bad teammates and mexicans.

Gaming community, I want you to know that you suck.

So basically you're being a teen.

On your 18th birthday you'll realise the word "mature" is stupid.

You'll realise that you are officially an adult and everything changes without anything changing.

At least, that's if you actually come of age at 18 in your country.

You should probably kill yourself.

You could quite possibly just being going through a phase of sorts, OP. I've had the same feelings but they always pass. Sometimes they return but it's never a permanent thing.

in·dif·fer·ence
the fact or state of being indifferent; lack of care or concern and empathy demonstrated by an absence of emotional reactions.

I had the mentality of an 80 year old at the age of 12.
If I "grew up" any more I'd probably develop dementia.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I am 18....

yeah....

ooga booga boooh

OP, it is called nostalgia in the truest sense of the word. It is the longing for ones past that, due to the hindsight bias, they may or may not have had. We had so many issues as a child; parents fighting, annoying people at school, social stress, etc., but the problem then was we did not have the comprehension we did, and the outlet to deal with it.

No worries, OP, I used to think the same. Honestly, growing up is amazing. You'll learn to deal with the problems of uncertainty you are facing in due time. To "bring back" this good in your life, find a good outlet. For me, it was philosophy books (and not that Dr.Phill crap). Stuff that makes you rethink a lot.

OP, feel free to DM me and I can give you a list of novels, videos and literature to read up on and make you take a look at the positive. Hope it all turns out well for you.

-I was here

On behalf of all of us, I would like to say welcome to cynicism. If this is a problem, I would like to recommend large doses of alcohol.

I was like that too in a way.
I had an old soul and I always acted very mature when I was a kid.
But as I get older, I start taking things less seriously.
I believe as I get older I become less and less mature.
