Subject: Can anyone tell me how many members this site has?

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Consistenylt active: probably 10,000 or so.
Total: tens of millions. Or more.

You people can't be serious saying millions.

Actually yes, we people are serious.

Did you know that dolphins are so intelligent, that within only a few weeks of captivity, they can train Americans to stand at the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

It's a matrix thang.....

You have a horrible concept of population then.

Those numbers are actually pretty spot on.

Can we get a source of this? Because the largest group I know of has about 5000 members last time I checked, and the only active forums are the Flood and Community forum where you see the same people over and over.
The account you're posting on right now which has a creation date of... today has a "member ID #" 12087543, which is account number 12,087,543. Yes, there are a good 12 million accounts on bungie.net. (I got the number from the URL once clicking on your bungie.net profile page. Mine is 948,932. Achronos is 1.

How active the community forum and flood forum is irrelevant. The people that use the forums are in the minority. Some just strictly stick to private groups, others just look at Halo stats. Some register accounts just to post in the news forum or post their artwork.

Posted by: Achronos
The VAST majority of both anonymous and logged in users come to bungie.net for the game stats. In comparison to that statistic, the forums are not the primary reason people come here. And with just the forums, there are a lot more readers than posters on any given day.

Fun Fact: Bungie released an info-graphic this past March on stats with Halo and Bungie.net. As of March 2012, there are 319,000+ private groups on bungie.net. Bungie.net is much bigger than we know.

It's crazy how many accounts are created everyday on this website. I wonder how many are actually legit accounts though.

Was it just me or was this thread locked a couple minutes ago?

Ah, I see. It appears I'm mistaken. Thanks for showing this.

So... I guess we can opt for thousands?
I wouldn't opt for thousands. I'd opt for a few million at least. You're talking the entire lifespan of bnet. We know there are at least 319,000 private groups. What percent of users actually use forums here? According to Achronos, not many. Most people use the website for stats. So even if you only had 999,999 members (which is your suggestion of thousands), that implies nearly 1 out of 3 created a private group. Which is silly.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say anywhere from 4 million to 7 million since bungie.net existed. But no one except the web-team really knows.

I was also deceived by the member ID's craftiness. I thought the "Does not exist" pages came up when you got a deleted account but it seems I was mistaken.

Back when there was a group spotlight, wouldn't the official "Bungie.net" group occasionally appear and show how many members in total there was? I swear I remember seeing it once and it was a lot... millions if I'm correct.
