Subject: Being smart is useless

Seriously in this day and age where everyone has such easy access to the Internet and all it's knowledge actually knowing these facts are pointless. So you can tell me everything about the civil war? Gimme 10 seconds on google and I know just as much as you. I have more knowledge on my phone than you do in your brain.

Which is why in today's age being strong and good looking is more important than ever. Smarts mean nothing. Anyone else agree?

Knowing a -blam!-on of things isn't as useful as it once was. It's nice to not have to consult the internet every time you want to know something.

Being intelligent is more important than ever before.

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

Then lets all try to mush sticks into leaves.

When it comes to science and math, the Internet can only help so much. When it comes to history, nobody cares enough to memorize it.

History is still a joke major in College. Science, Math, and Business>

There just aren't enough moments in the day to rectify the wrongs of the past.

Unfortunately, that's one of the problems with Medicine. Doctors constantly get argued with by Patients because in their 30 seconds of looking up symptoms on the web, they now think they know more than the Doctors themselves, so most joke "Whats the point of even going to Medical School?" It's a curse of Technology, and one day it will ruin us.

That's what people that aren't smart think.

... You kind of walked into that one.

Smart/intelligence =/= rote memorization and fact regurgitation.

"Life is constantly fleeting from your grasp even from the very day it's bestowed upon you, but the shadow of death is always there, waiting for its chance to take you away."

"Even though many may not think so, ignorance and innocence are one and the same. The only difference is that one sounds nicer."

"I once knew a man who spent his entire life contemplating where we go after our death....it's a shame he realized it a second too late to tell anyone."

The day we start to abandon working to attain a higher level of intelligence is the day I give up on humanity. -_-

I don't try. Most of the stuff we go over in class just sticks to my brain.

You couldn't be more wrong. There's a difference between having a knowledge base in front of you and being able to intelligently solve problems.

Also, you're not smart because you don't know the difference between it's and its.

Without smart people we would never advance over our current state, over what is written on the Internet right now.

Most people who claim to be smart are usually unattractive though. Between the two being attractive is far more useful. You can charm people more, get more dates, form better connections which lead to better opportunities, etc.

Ah, the internet. Where men are men, women are men, and children are the FBI.

A person with google knows that something works. The smart person, however, knows why it works. Its easy to see why the smart person is better off.
